Personally I liked Speeds brother in Speed Racer. He played the typical annoying brother role, but the actor had a way about him that sold me.

i can't believe i'm agreeing with Norman...hehe, but i liked him too. he had personality, unlike a lot of child actors. sure, it was a comedic role, but i think he sold it well.

young Jack Black in the Pick of Destiny deserves a mention. he should be the official go-to guy if you need someone to play a younger Jack Black.

there was a swedish Vampire-Film recently, titled "Let The Right One In" which depicts the relationship of 12yo boy to a Vampire. The Acting was exceptionally good.
