Movies you consider perfect from start to finish

hot fuzz, it's cut together in such a pace that you are not waiting for something to happen.

Se7en... huge failure when I try to fond something bad in it !

Se7en was perfect until the end when Brad went down to a terrible acting getting that crying child face and his awful "what's in the boooooaaax" thing.

Side note: Nolan Fanboyism has nothing to do with this choice.

not the best movie but the movie that is perfect on its own terms: Starship Troopers. I love it against all forms of rational thought.

I forgot to add my two cents, but I think The Adventures of Robin Hood epitomizes the perfect Saturday matinee film. It's rightly paced, the acting is good, and the Technicolor photography and score are beyond reproach.

Oh, and Blade Runner: Final Cut. It's thought-provoking, the world is truly immersive, and you could write dozens of essays on it and hardly scratch the surface. (Aside from the silly replicant death scenes.)

I think storytelling perfection is easier than just "perfect". After all, you are creating the story, if every scene is perfect for the story you are telling...it's "perfect".

Holy smokes! We have very similar taste in movies! Separated at birth?

I was actually dying to put a Marx Brothers movie on...but there is always one song or some dated joke I would replace. But none better than them.

Ditto with Gone with the Wind...probably the greatest movie ever made...but I would reshoot the scene where Scarlett says "No I'm not!" at the beginning. It's acted really weird for some reason. It's perfect otherwise.

Casablanca would make it if not for the slightly odd acting when Bogie is at the table drinking and slams his fist on the table. Also the Paris flashback stuff could have been better to me. But it's still one of my very favorite movies.

Shuffling through my favorite comic book movies trying to find any that don't have at least one scene that could be better or some other flaw.
Spider-Man 1 had a bad costume design for the Goblin and Dafoe isn't at his best.
Spider-Man 2 almost makes it...but that doctor scene is off.
Superman 2
has some dicey dialog.
X-Men 2 has the one scene where Magneto acts in a petty and spiteful manner toward Rogue's hair. So close...
I adore Watchmen but the sex scene isn't perfect.
Iron Man is incredible but the ending could be better.
Batman Begins was poorly cast in a couple of places.
The Dark Knight
could use some serious editing and also has casting problems. I've never really liked Batman's costume in any of his movies either.
Iron Man 2 should lose the "drunk Tony" scene.

Maybe Blade 2? Nothing springs to mind there....nah...nevermind...
Definitely Kick Ass. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
And...Mystery Men. I love every second of it.

Pixar makes "perfect" look easy. I wouldn't change a frame or the actors in any of their movies other than Cars, Ratatouille, and Wall-E. Wall-E is pretty close...but a couple of things in the second half could have been better. Finding Nemo in particular is picture perfect.

I'll put in Raising Arizona, Arthur, A Fish Called Wanda, and Trading Places as comedies that could not be done better. Wish I could put in some Monty Python, but even the Holy Grail has a flaw. :(

Back to the Future 1 is perfect. No doubt in my mind. (the sequels aren't perfect)
Fellowship of the Ring could not possibly be done any better.
Let Me In. A contender for my favorite movie this year. Chloe Moretz is having a great year.
To Be or Not to Be (Jack Benny, Carol Lombard)
Memento. That's Nolan's perfect movie.

Alright let me get out my movies... I consider movies that stand the test of time as perfection as perfect... some movies seem great but decay with time.
Trilogies I consider perfection:
Lord of the Rings
Toy Story

Single Movies:
Shawshank Redemption
Forrest Gump
Tombstone
Matrix (first only)
Casablanca
Armageddon (yeah, and I hate Michael Bay)
Jaws (amazing)
Gladiator (favorite film ever)
Jurassic Park (visual effect still look top notch even today... that's what's insane)
Blade Runner Final Cut (my favorite version)
Memento (storytelling genius)
Inception (time will tell)
Dark Knight
I'll throw in the first Pirates as well... even though I like 2 & 3, the first is the milestone.
