well, simple enough. the hype has dyed down on that big summer blockbuster (or whatever other movie) you just never got around to seeing, you see it in the $5 bin at your local walmart months (or even years) later, and you pick it up.

so, what did you think? after everyone's done talking about it, and the hype surrounding it no longer factors into your opinion of it.

i just went dvd shopping, and decided to pick up a few movies i never saw, but was semi interested in, i got Hoodwinked, Zathura, and Dead Alive... so?

dead alive: why did no one tell me about this movie? why have i never heard of it? i effing love zombie movies, and this is the best b-zombie movie i've ever seen. and... also probably the goriest... and the corniest, but that's okay. also, my favorite peter jackson movie ever. maybe even the only one i've ever liked (with frighteners being the possible exception)

zathura: great movie, lots of heart (loved that little kid with his "i'm taking evasive action!!!"), awesome effects, the ending
with the astronot (sp?) being the older version of the brother
was both predictable and handled poorly.

hoodwinked: it was okay. had a few 'lol' moments, mostly involving the squirrel, other than that, pretty forgettable. and the animation was soooOoooo bad compared to other cgi cartoons that've come out in the past 10 years. but overall the story wasn't bad.

there are a few more, but i'm getting ready to going out, so... yeah.

"10 Things I Hate About You" I wanted to watch it from the time it came on video to now and have just done so. I wasn't disappointed at all, found it to be really funny, when I thought it would be more...chick flickish (not that Id have a problem with that).

"Phantom of the Opera" I was told to watch this by a teachers aid at the school and by my best female friend....I fell in love with this movie durning the first five minutes.

I just saw The Shawshank Redemption for the first time about a few week ago. An amazing piece of cinema.

I'v had it for about six months and still havent watched it....and have wanted to for the longest time its seems...maybe tomorrow.

I finally saw Aeon Flux and Skeleton Key after people telling me for months they were good movies. Both sucked. :(

I just bought Equilibrium at Best Buy for ten dollars.

Not a bad movie. Could have used some tweaking, but the fight scenes were brilliant.

Been going into a Jimmy Stewart phase with films like Vertigo, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, and The Philadelphia Story. All brilliant.

One Flew over the Couckoo's Nest..I liked it,didn't love it.Also been watching alot of the classics...Citizen Kane,Jimmy Stewert movies,Marlon Brando movies ect...

It took me five tries and one whole year to watch the whole of Kingdom.....yawn.....of Heaven. The theatrical version is dull as ditchwater.

Big Trouble In Little China everytime I whent over to my cousin's house I always saw it and looked at it wondering if it's any good. Well I watched it and I thought it was a great movie by John Carpenter so when I left to go home I bought the movie at Sun Coast.

Superman and Superman II. Figured I really outta see them before Superman Returns. With Blockbuster online, I got the chance.

One of these days I´m gonna try and watch Armaggeddon from start to finish... Just to see if all of it is as bad as the ten or fifteen minutes I managed to see so far...

Apocalypse Now. It was way too trippy for my taste.

I rented Daredevil a coupleof weeks back.

It was ok, I guess.

Forrest Gump and The Terminal.
Both great movies by the great Tom Hanks.

The Terminal ended up being one of my favorite movies.

If you switch your brain off for two hours and just give in to the flag waving, heroics its a damn fun movie.

When they reach the asteroid its quite tense and emotional.

I liked it ... many do not.

I, too, liked Armageddon.
I watch it almost whenever it comes on, just to see
The FBI find all of Harry's employees, Chip's son and ex-wife run towards him at the end, and Harry blowing up the asteroid.

I like Armageddon, its one of the films that can make me cry. Lots of Goosebumps too

Brokeback Mountain.I just had to see how it won all those awards.
