*note: this may be to similar to other thread currently open about movies that aren't that good but own anyways, if so please close I guesse.
Are there any movies that you absolutely adore, despite recognizing that they really arent that good, or may be even horrible? these films don't necessarily have to be in your top 10 but you still cherish them despite their relative crappyness? Is it becuase you just have weird tastes or is it nostalgia, or something else?
For me, I would definitely have to say Cloverfield. I don't think anyone other than those who hate shakey-cam would say its a horrible movie per se, but its not exaclty great. Regardless of that I admit that absolutley love this movie to no end. I was intrigued the instant I saw the trailer before Transformers and eagerly awaited news for it and its final release. Unlike pretty much anyother movie, it delivered exactly what I wanted and lived up to what I hoped it would be. Its not that I would even defend it or argue its merits, but for me it just hit the right note at the right time. I dig it, but I understand if others dont.
How about you?
