Moving Out.

So in about 8 hours I'm going to be moving out for the first time. I'll be moving on to campus at St. Louis University. Its only about a half hour from where I live now, and I know the city well, but it's still a little surreal knowing that I'll be living outside my crapfest chunk of suburbia where I've lived my entire life.

My question is, is there anyone else on here thats moving out for the first time soon? Anyone care to reminisce about when the did? Any advice?

Fortunately, I'm staying home a few more years as my college is close by and I'm a tight wad.

It will be nerve racking when it comes, however. Good luck!

yeah i could of had my residence requirement waived but my parents were like GTFO. so now I'm paying 10k for housing for the year.

You definitely want to live on campus though, you'd never get close to the real college experience otherwise. That said, going to college isn't really moving out, it's more like halfway moving out.

I wish I could have afforded to live on campus and all that. I worked and went to school and paid for it myself. When I moved out, I really moved out into my own apartment. It was the best time though!! It's nothing like having your own place! You can do what you want when you want and nobody can tell you otherwise! Then I got married! LOL! Married life is great if you both want it but that's beside the point. ENJOY BEING YOUR OWN PERSON!! You won't regret it!
