Dorian, after he puts on the mask.

This is Mr. Face, a character from Alex Ross' upcoming Superpowers story (where he uses comic characters from the 50s or around that time.)

I wonder if their similarities are on accident or on purpose.
And if they are on purpose, which came first?
Mr. Face or The Mask bad guy?

I can't find any comics or info about Mr. Face on the internet, if someone has any let me know.

Yeah, probably coincidental.

Dorian was never in Arcudi's original Mask trilogy, so if the similarity is on purpose, then Mr. Face definitely came first if he's really from the 50's.

My guess is that Mr. Face isn't from the originals, so Dorian comes first, but they're not similar enough.

I'm just talking about their look, nothing else though.
Ross, in the recent Wizard, said something about this guy having a monster face like this and a fansy suit like this back then.

I just can't find anything about the Mr. Face guy from before the Alex Ross stuff.

I don't think its a coincident. Solomon Grundy looked an awful lot like some Zombie guy from a movie as well...
