Like the original film, the small-screen adaptation will take place in a future society where wealthy industrialists rule the vast city from high-rise tower complexes, while a lower class of underground-dwelling workers toil constantly to operate the machines that provide its power. Risking everything they know, two star crossed lovers from opposite sides of the divide must find a way to bring down the whole system.

Reality TV is stepping up.

Deadline I think are saying a lot of A list Hollywood talent are looking into this project too.

Wouldn't be surprised if this ends up on HBO.

Trump will censor it...oh nevermind.:o

We have mostly caught up to Lang's Metropolis futuristic stratified society.

The TV series sound interesting. It needs to stay in dystopian genre though.

we’ll the great thing about Metropolis was how ahead of it time it was - especially the sfx.
The story has not much potential to be stretched out for 6-8 episodes….unless they change it completely

Well that blows.
