Just finished watching Mr Smith Goes To Washingtion,it was excellent. Jimmy Stewart acts out probably the best court room scene ever.

Mr Smith Goes to Washington is a very good film.
There isn't a court room scene in the movie.

I think he means the filibuster at the end. When I saw this thread, I thought there was a remake for a second.

This is one of those great movies I've yet to see. I really want to see it, though. I love Jimmy Stewart, that man truly is a legend.

This is one of those films that would fall flat, if not for the lead. It all lays on the shoulders of Stewart and he pulls it off masterfully.

Come on, we all know the remake directed by Homer Simpson and starring Mel Gibson was better...

HA! I remember that... the best part being when the President (or was it the speaker of the House?) gets impaled with an American flag!:)

Thats the only remake that should exist. This movie is perfect, and should never be touched by the grimy hands of todays directors.

I agree there is no need for a remake but that's exactly why one will probably happen. Some foolish director will think he can improve on the film by casting Brad Pitt and adding a huge sex scene to inspire him to greatness the night before the filibuster begins. It's a shame that many movie fans don't go back and watch the classics but then gobble up the remakes. They are the ones who encourage the ridiculousness.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and the Holiday Classic "It's a Wonderful Life" are two Jimmy Stewart movies that should never be remade.

I like to see someone do HARVEY. They would fail. No actor living today can make me believe there is a pooka spirit on screen with them. Jimmy Stewart did such a great job with that, I love that movie.

No one can act like jimmy stewart,he just "leaps off the screen" I loved it when he went around punching out the media...lol.

Agent Smith Goes To Washington, that's something I'd like to see

I'm wondering "How come they don't make movies like this?" They just don't make'em the way they used to.
