TNT‘s new Steven Bochco drama Murder In The First will follow a single case across an entire season. So too did Bochco’s short-lived mid-1990s drama Murder One for ABC.

The new drama centers on San Francisco homicide detectives Terry English (Taye Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Kathleen Robertson) as they investigate an apparent drug-related murder with a connection to a celebrated Silicon Valley CEO.

Bocho has a good track record with this type of thing and I like the two leads.

Hey Skinny Pete is in this :awesome:

Anyone else watching this? It's not bad, has a bit of a feel of The Killing to it.

Damn, is no one else loving season 2?

The plot arches seem to be a bit more complicated this time around, and some seem even random and unrelated (the DA's son), but it's all coming together nicely.

The show sets its endings up nicely where it gets excruciating waiting a week for the next episode.

I like Hildy and Terry and the whole Union storyline is pretty intriguing. The drug kingpin Sugar stuff is less so but I imagine it might tie in. The kids shooting up the bus was a very intense start to the season, but the trial stuff that has came from it is pointless IMO, there's no morality question when a person murders 30 innocent people. I was hoping there'd be more of a mystery angle behind their actions than an attempt at some sort of social commentary.
