It can be recording an album, or just learning/writing a new song. For example, right now, I'm working on an acoustic Thriller.

Next week I'm going to Orlando to record a couple solos for a friend's CD. Other than that, always practicing.

My band self released our debut album last November. We just started recording our follow up on Monday and we'll be recording into August shooting for a January release date. We are also recording a few extra tracks for a 7inch vinyl split.

Very fun, but very expensive.

i may be starting a band soon. i wanted to name it 'the moondogs' (a beatles reference, and the DJ persona of alan freed, the man who coined the term rock and roll), but apparently some irish punk band in the 70's already had the name. bummer.

current musical activities:

just finished recording/mixing/mastering Varzovia's debut album, Varzovia is a band where I play guitar do back up vocals and write most of the song; took us the best part of two years, but we finally finished it, we're currently working on artwork, copyright registration and pressing quotes, we're going to self release it and maybe shop it around for a distribution deal

I also play bass in a death metal band called Artifacts Of Torture, we have a gig on saturday, we're writing songs and doing gigs

there's this other industrial/dark/metal band where I also play guitar and do vocals called El Estado, our singer is doing some opera stuff in Monterrey, and our drummer's wife just got a mayor surgery, so we're taking the month off, the keyboard player and I have been working on new songs for a possible EP next year

gathering several music snipets and pieces I've written throughout the years and trying to make a musical of sorts, but I'm still not decided on the theme, I'm going for either Wilhelm Reich's life or a bizarre love story involving S&M and cooking

I just love music

Jeez. Someone's been busy with being awesome.

Currently playing guitar in a hard rock/industrial metal band called Glitchpoint. We made an EP called Ignition about 8 or 9 months ago. Have had some pretty awesome gigs through the last year but things have been pretty quiet.

Been playing in a house band at a local bar for a weekly open mic night for stand up comedians that has gotten me some cool connections.

Currently working out some of my newer riffs and melodies into a sort of self titled project. Currently looking for a drummer to work with on a regular basis and hopefully record this bad boy and see what happens. Really want to make it into a concept album but I have no freakin' idea what I want the subject matter to be I don't want to force it, just let it come to me. :o

Yeah, I listened to your stuff a while ago. I kinda dug it.

Im not in the band...but I am managing a band, and we just signed a developmental deal with one of the biggest record labels in the country. Lots of work ahead...but fingers are crossed.

I was in a metal band called Iron Vein. Really dug it, we tried to not use double bass or scream really giving us a more authentic? metal sound. Check it out www.myspace.com/ironveinmetal

I also want to write and record a metal version of the subway song, "Five dollar footlongs". Only actually make that one all "Hardcore metal" hahaha.

Being deeply inspired by Brand New recently, me and a few friends are going for that whole vibe.

We're not a band but we get together and write and play music just for fun.

We went to my cousins cabin for 2 weeks straight, shut ourselves out from the world and just wrote and played music.

Trying to get my Senior Recital in gear. Lots of music to memorize left. Singing Opera is really cool, but there's a bumload of work involved.

this week I'm rehearsing as substitute bass player for a local goth outfit who are going on a little tour, I'm not joining, just helping

the songs are fairly simple to learn and they're nice people

here's a little bit of advice on taking alcohol/drugs to rehearsals:

-while it does not help for a very productive session, having a drummer show up all x'ed can be a whole lot of fun
-don't share weed with a band member who's not a stoner, but if you do, make sure there's a camera handy
-if you're having beer over, wait till you're finished, unless it's a particularly hot day
-it might seem like a good idea on your own to "find the song at the bottom of the bottle/end of the joint", but it's better if you work on the song a little bit more after you've sobered up... and don't try it at reharsals
-groupies get in the way more than one would think

Not exactly a project, per se, but I've been picking apart some of the songs that were popular in the early to mid 90s. Right now, I've just finished "The Sign" by Ace of Base.

Nice! I think I was like twelve or thirteen when that album was super popular and I used to rock that song. It was a guilty pleasure and sometimes still is. :o

TheDesignMachine on Youtube inspired me. But AoB is a group which I always kinda liked, and I couldn't figure out why. They're just catchy. Granted, I still like The Cranberries over them, but not by much. :o

Here is a video of my band playing live sound quality isn't great.

I'm looking for someone to collaborate with on a very brief demo track. If you're down with a Muse-y/U2 type of sound, I'm all ears.

And you haven't approached The Professor?

I'm hurt, C-Milly. Hurt.

I'm currently working on writing and recording a CD or demo or whatever you want to call it. It's hard to find people to work with because all the people who've heard my stuff say it's a mix between The Smashing Pumpkins and Rob Zombie....

that's a good thing

I was invited to participate in this dub/reggae project of a friend of mine in a punk band, if I can squeeze it into my schedule, I might give it a shot, if nothing comes out, at least we'd get to hang out, light up and have fun

im playing drums in a cramps cover band for halloween. we did a mini show the other day:
