Last night, my friend and I were playing Rock Band 2. As we play, the game freezes, the picture becomes messed up and staticky. I turn it on, the 360 logo starts to appear and then it does the same thing. I took out the disk and it was just black and staticky. I came back to it just now to reset it with the controller but I have 3 red rings (left half and bottom right).

I don't really have much time this weekend to call them, so could someone fill me in on what to do?

My console is apparently already registered even though it doesn't show. I did register it over the phone when I called about a problem with it a few months ago. Dumb woman probably entered my info wrong.

I just called now and talked to a woman. She filled out my information (probably didn't get it correct) and was told to go to service.xbox.com and sign in to get the shipping label. That only brings me to the page to register my console which still doesn't work.

EDIT: Finally showed up.

Im fearing that this is going to happen to my 360 :( After a few hours, this reality of red lights sets in, and I get worried.

Mine broke a year and a half ago and I never got it fixed. My girlfriend sucked the will to have fun right out of me............Then I left her and she bought her own. I still have the broken one

Dang. Are you going to get it fixed?

probably not, I'm pretty sure I'm at the end of my life and I couldn't care less about a 400 dollar piece of crap that I barely got to use anyway. Money doesn't mean anything when you realize neither do you

MS received my console Thursday and it was repaired by Friday morning. It shipped Saturday so I hope I get it soon.

I've owned three seperate 360's in the last 4 years, all of them have bricked due to the RROD. Fortunately, MS is pretty good about shipping you a coffin and then getting your console back to you relatively quickly.

Still, have to wonder, why can't they fix this problem permanently, even all these years after the consoles launch? I know it has something to do with the soddering glue used on the motherboard....

These XBox 360s are not good. Mine gave E74 in 11 months but I got it repaired and enjoying latest games and exclusives there now

Are you actually dying?

Oh damn, sorry to hear that dude. Good luck with everything.

I haven't played my Xbox in god knows how long, and about a month ago I turned it on and it just froze. I'll probably just save up and buy a new one since for me, it's really complicated if I send it in. The xbox is registered(with Live and whatnot)under my dad's name and he lost his job back in November and since then he hasn't talked to anybody and I haven't seen him since.
