I performed this at our school Coffee House, I had to cut out 3 of my jokes (2 of which were my best ones) due to time. Also note the crowd couldn't be heard that well because the video was recorded beside the speaker so my voice is overpowering the audience.

i think your holding the microphone too close to your mouth or something .

The laugh track you used could have been stronger, but the one you chose was a little bit more believable.

No, my friend was in front of the speaker so it was being blasted at him which is why it's hard to hear the audience too.

Coming from a guy who did stand up here and there, you really need to speed your material up. People today have short attention spans, and you're not a storyteller, you're a comedian. I'm not saying you can't tell a story, but if you have to, sprinkle a few little jokes throughout and end it with one big punchline. Keep their attention. You'd be surprised how bored people would get when you're not making them laugh every 20 seconds. It's sounds crazy ,I know, but comedians like George Carlin are considered "boring" by today's youth because they tell stories and build up. That's why Dan Cook is so popular among people, because he substitutes his mediocre material by shouting, yelling, and making dumb noises.

Basically just speed the pace up a tad, and continue to NOT BE DANE COOK.

Bottom line: You talk too much and you're not at all funny in this. Having the notes is pretty lame, too.

It took you a minute to get to a punchline. Like somebody already said: Speed it up.

Why did you cut out two of your best jokes? I know you said for time restrictions, but if they're your 'best' then you should've cut a couple that aren't, err, your best :)

whoa. You are not funny. AS others said, get rid of notes... and I don't no.... talking less might help to.

ok so I got talk less and talk more?

I took out my best jokes because one of them was the funniest and the other one's punchline reffered to that joke. The third joke wasn't that good, it was all noises. And remember this is only my second time doing stand up and I'm only 16 so I gotta work on it a bit more.

And the notes were because I only had 3 days and on each of those days I had a big test to study for so I realy had no time to memorize it all so I had notes.

I gave a best man speech at my cousins wedding and I was the hit of the party. I think I am a pretty funny guy and most of my family was shocked and told me they didn't know I was a comedian. I also used notes though and it was more of a roast than a routine. I also was trying to read the crowd and had to cut a few due to the average age of the audience being so young. One that got cut was:

Today has been a very emotional day for everyone. Even the cake is in tiers. Ya it's corny but I am corny funny.

Comedy died today. :(
bwahahahahahaha:csad:

I had a good one about football too: I said he is going to treat his marriage just like he treats his beloved football he watches every weekend. He is going in fully committed, will play half the season away from home, and change ends every 15 minutes. His wife also told me that he would likely end up with a groin injury early in the season.

Best advice ever given.

Comedy died today. :(
He's new, he's learning. This was like a Fire Drill. Like a Fire Drill that no one knew about but A-Man, and he ran around shoving people out of windows. :csad:

For serious though, practice practice practice I guess? It's been said, but talk less. I didn't watch all of it, but you kinda drag on a bit. "I was at home, looking through my comics, and I found a Spider-Man comic. And you know him, he's swinging. So Spider-Man is swinging and swinging..."

...And your audience is building up a murderous rage. :csad:

Keep it up though. If you like doing it, stick with it.
