My Dog Has Worms.

She's a great dane, and while i appreciate this is not the nicest of threads i'd be grateful to hear some feedback from you people. Molly has a appointment with a vet tomorrow, will what they give her be any stronger than what i can buy at the supermarket?

What really scares me is that the vet's secretery told me humans can catch the worms, thats really freaked me out i have 2 children.

Basically i'd like to hear from anyone who's got a dog thats had worms, howeasy was it to treat? how fast did it clear up and did anyone actually catch it off there pets?

My dog had worms once, I think it cleared up in...2 days of taking the medicine? I don't remember if we got the stuff from the vet ot not, I don't think so.


As for kids not catching it, I think they just have to wash their hands after touching the dog, and take baths every day. (that's what my parents had me do anyway)


If your worm has dogs, the only choice is to put it down.

Unless she has heart worms and then she might die. I still don't recommend eating off her butt though!

Yes, kids can get worms, I was in the hospital years ago for an x-ray, and this milf was sitting down crying and started to tell me her daughter has worms. I started to get that sick feeling and then I moved seats.

It's pretty rare for a dog to die from heart worms. Has to be a VERY advanced case for that to happen. Most cases of worms aren't of the heart worm variety, anyway.
