We all have them... Relatives, usually older ones, who can't seem to grasp the proper names to things in the pop culture sphere and so give them their own names. So please share with us what your peeps is calling stuff, whether from the present or the past.

My own grandmother had these gems:

The Smirks = The Smurfs

Casey And Lacey = Cagney And Lacey

Pee Pee Herman = Pee Wee Herman (I guess Gram was a psychic on that one>)

Pokémon - Pokeman
Lady Gaga - Lady Googoo
One Direction - One Directions
Apple Watch - iWatch
ANY video game console - Xbox

When my grandmother went to Canada ages ago I asked her to pick up a few DVDs that weren't released in the U.K.

My aunt told me the clerks face went white when this 5ft old woman asked her to help as he grandson was looking to get vd

My grandmother calls Misubishi "Mitibi*chi".

My friend called Massachusettes "Matitusettes" for years. First time he saw a Massachusettes car tag and realized he had been pronouncing it wrong all these years he looked like he had just found out the cake was a lie. :funny:

My grandad calls Ric Flair "Rich Flour" for some reason.

Oh and my grandma calls the old Knight Rider show "Nice Rider".

Not a grandparent, but my parents are older and my dad calls Gargamel from the Smurfs Gigamore. I have no idea how the **** he gets Gigamore from Gargamel.

Gigamore sounds like an alien unit of measurement.

I actually heard someone refer to him as Gilgamesh once.

"You know, the enemy of the Smurfs... Gary Mel."

Pokemans was a big one, had 3 relatives that said that.
Behemoth pronounced as "Be a moth" (saw me playing a FF game, "What's a Be a Moth?") .
This isn't technically incorrect, but always calling KFC, Colonel Sanders.

"With the amount of Gigamores my instruments are reading there is no doubt that the Pokeman is near!"

my mother still calls them Pokeymans
and
Chipotle = Chipollees
Colonscopy = Colonostomy

The kids love the Pokeman... Until he pokes them. Then the authorities have to get involved.

Shame on you. I expected better

Dad can never remember what South Park is called. He just knows they swear a lot, so he calls them "potty pants." He means "potty mouths."

He also told me once that I spend too much time with "those magic cowboys." I assume he meant my comic books.

No I know your pops he actually meant magic cowboys.

What you been doing in your room with magic cowboys,son?

Chipotle's = Chipoodles

McDonald's = Crapdonald's

Burger King = Burger Stink

Someone's grandma sounds like they spend a lot of time on the internet.
