Little does everyone know, in the past week I've had to move back into my moms house. This house and I have a pretty intense past when it comes to "crazy ass scary stuff", like when I saw something in the hallway, when I saw something in the living room, the strange noises at night, and that feeling of not being alone when you are alone. None of this happened to me in the few months that I lived over at my aunts. I could be completely alone in the house, and feel alone. There was no paranoia, no fear.

Well, I've been here since Monday and in the back of my I was like "Alright you ****er, whatever you are, show yourself!". Nothing has happened up until about 15 minutes ago.

I was making my grandma an afternoon snack when I heard a door shut. I didn't think anything of it and thought it was someone coming in from the outside. I went around, checked it out, asked my grandma what if she heard it too. No use, granted she was asleep. I walked into my sisters room to see if her boyfriend was in there, he wasn't. I then went to the hallway to see which door it was in there that shut. It was the bathroom. I didn't think anything of it because the breeze would usually pull it shut sometimes. I checked the window and it was shut. No breeze. When I left the bathroom, I looked down to my room and the rest of the rooms. Upon doing that, I saw the back of someone walking into my grandpas bedroom. I flipped so much ****.

I panicked and called my mom and then my sister. She said she was going to call Bryan, our family pastor. No idea why. He's on his way out here.

I always ask him, but he says that was a bad time in his life that he's just much rather forget about.

Holy Moses...hope you are feeling alright there man,....when he comes round get him to bless the house, I don't know what religion you are but I guess they all have a procedure for that. I think that kind of thing is supposed to protect a house from spirits and stuff, worth a try anyway.

You will be alright, just try to think of it as a cool story you will be able to tell years from now to your kids, try not to get too freaked out.

edit: it will just be some old fart who has not moved on to the next stage, I have read a few paranormal books, they can't do anything to you, if you feel a presence just remind yourself that, at worst, it's just some old fart who is still floating about his old house, he isn't able to harm you or anything.

edit: I"m serious when i say this, but if this becomes an ongoing problem for you and your family, there are actually people out there who come in and communicate with the ghosts and help them move on. I have a documentary on tv where a couple were interviewed, there must be a few in the states, but I don't know what they would call themselves, one guy on this tv show said they called the process 'soul rescue'.

You guys should really invest in cameras that you can put around the house. Also buy a tape recorder and try to get an EVP.

I'm not joking either, if you're really haunted and you get strong evidence of it maybe you could make some money off of it. Might as well profit somehow.

You sure it wasn't just a cardboard cutout of Ted Danson? Cause that can happen you know.

I feel your pain. When I was 15 I moved into a house with my family. We found a skeleton key in a drawer about a month after we moved in. It went to nothing in the house that we could find so mom and dad were going to chuck it. Well, I always had a thing for skeleton keys so I decided to keep it. Thats when the freaky **** started. Started seeing shadows, woke up one night and a man, woman, and two children who were about 5 or 6 were standing in my bedroom doorway just staring at me. My father never believed me and mom were seeing this stuff until one time my fathers computer wouldn't come on. It was plugged up and had been working fine previously that day. Dad started getting aggravated with the thing, and he swears that it sounded like a little girl laughed and then the thing cut on. Mom saw a black shadow glide down our hall and crawl up the far wall into the ceiling. My oldest dog filpped his **** over that. Then one day I was setting on the end of the couch and perpendicular to that is the love seat. Well, my dog was at the end of the love seat closest to me, and I looked at him and when I did beside him I saw what looked like a shadow but it had a light about it. It was brief, and I only saw a small bit of it, but what I saw was ****ed up. It was the mouth of what looked like a jackel, and it was snapping its jawls shut violently like it was trying to attack. My dog jerked his head sideways and stared right at the spot where I saw it.

I did the same thing th OP did, and told the thing or things that was in my house that this was my house now, and it could leave us alone or get out. Everything calmed down after that. Now, back to the key. I put the key up, and touched it as little as possible. I have messed with it a few times since, and everytime I mess with tthat key weird stuff starts happening in the house again. Something is anchored to that key, but I just can't bring myself to chuck it.

:awesome:

The apartment I lived in years ago might have been haunted. I saw and heard crazy **** there all the time (people walking into the bedroom, hearing something whisper "what is this?", even heard something strum one of my guitars once). I tried to use my computer to record evp's once while I was out. When I got back, I did see (based on the spikes in the waveform) that noises WERE picked up, but when I tried to play the recording, my computer crashed. Really wish I could have heard what (if anything) was there.

Film it, become a demon at the end, and market it.

When I was a young chap, my Mom told me stories about my Grandmother's house.

She told me one story, where she came downstairs to study for some test and a woman was sitting in their rocking chair. Some of my other families saw a solider and would often hear someone's wearing heavy boots coming up the stairs.

When I stayed in that house I did hear and see things. Once I heard loud scratching at the bedroom door in the early hours of the morning and another time I saw a shadow whisk past the kitchen. Also heard a horse another time too.

Weird ****. Wish I had a camera and recording equipment back then.

It'd be a boring ass movie.

Let's throw in a world war, a speech impediment, and Colin Firth.

And all the Oscars go too...

I'm not sure what too think of ghosts but there's something weird going on at my apartment, too.
It's the clocks.
They'll change time for no reason. I once missed a very important appointment because my room clock said it was 6:00 Am instead of 7:30, so I fell back too sleep. I'll go out into the Living room and the Time will be hours off. Alarms go off at random times. Heck, last night, my clock radio's radio just turned on, for no reason.
If ghosts are real, I have a clock ghost!

My apartment's got a ghost or something too.

I experience the clock problem alot. I have a touch lamp in my room and it will come on by itself. Things have knocked over on there own but have been set stable and sitting that way for months. I get weird cold shivers in certain parts of the apartment. I've found doors shut that were open previously.

I'm a real life Ghostbuster.

Unfortunatly, I don't have a proton pack.. but I do have a glass of water & a right hand, which I use by dipping my hand into the water & then slapping the people hard accross their face for being stupid.

There is a perfectly logical explanation for anything 'wierd' that happens.
