Looks perfect man, I just got done watching it. So, I've never quite figured out, and I know I asked you before. When you do a smooth-on (from the clay on the manniquin head) cast, and then you get the mold. If I just pour the plastic in, wont it be like a bust? Not something I can wear.. How do I get it so its just the "clay" part molded, and not the manniquin head too? Do I brush on liquid plastic onto the sides of the mold?

Thanks,
SlyGuy

what you do is pour in alittle resin and rotate the mold until the resin kicks then do it again and again till you have the desired thickness.

Im using roto cast from smooth on for this, works perfectly

How long have you been working on this?Anyway let me know when you want me totry it on.

Alright thank you!

edit: I assume this is what you meant- http://www.smooth-on.com/Urethane-Plastic-a/c5_1120_1207/index.html

Hopefully that cures as a hard, durable plastic. lol

Or it even seems like this may work - http://www.smooth-on.com/index.php?cPath=1120_1165

Basically, I'm asking because I'm masking a support shell for my venom mask. I want it to be able for the jaw to move, but it needs to be thin, and light-weight as well. I also need the practice/experience, hence why I wanna make a mold and make it out of plastic.

thats the stuff sly guy

got the mold done and pulled a couple do far

Wow this is just incredible, you have soooo much talent, I cant get over the level of detail you have for various pieces!

Keep it up, I cant wait to see the final version!

Would you consider making a few of those and selling them as props for a theater room in a home?

Unpainted.

Whoaaa!:wow:

Your work is awesome!

Please can you explain your working method to model and create the helmet?

I am very interested in your job, as well as if you have any pictures showing the process.

Regards!
