I love the colours (like flickchick85 said, not the super shiny MOS suit but just bright colours in a good way) and that the trunks are there (to my delight). We also get the yellow shield on the cape, yes! (and IIRC even on Krypto's little cape lol) The S-shield surprised me at first, since the shape and over all design for me is so connected to KC (and apparently to something called like War Worlds (?), never read that story). But I'm warming up to it.

I never liked the collar during the New 52 era and hoped I'd never see it in live action, but somehow it works fine here for me.

English is not my native tounge (far from it), hence I might have a slight problem describing my particular issues with this suit. But here we go, bare with me lol: First of all it seems a bit too bulky and not really form-fitting IMHO. If it'd looked like for instance Darwyn Cooke's retro style suits with typical wrinkles in the material it'd felt better - l'd love to see that in live action. The material feels quite thick, and also sometimes a bit "rubbery". I like the shape of the boots, but even those feels a bit "rubbery".

The lines at some places, and some paddings like on the shoulders and arms also feels quite unnecessary personally. I was hoping for something like a combination of the good parts from S:TM and Returns suits, but "improved", if that makes any sense. Or from recent TV-show Superman And Lois.

Then again, I know how things will feel and look totally different within the story and cinematography on the big screen (or even on a decent TV screen). It took me a long time to accept Pattinson's Bat-suit, it just felt like something from an Elseworlds story, and as way more tactical than all Batman's usual comic book suits ever to me. However, since we got a great version of Batman there (with a great actor and over all great movie), the suit also of course worked fine for me in the end.

I'm pretty sure I'll feel the same with Superman here. This far everything looks and feels great with this Supes flick, and I'm so looking forward to it. Actually, as an old fart (who rarely gets really impressed by whatever stuff since quite a while) I haven't been this invested in a Superman film since I was a snotty kid looking forward to Superman The Movie in the 70s. And hopefully it will deliver.

Ok, silly long rant about a superhero's suit is over lol.

Considering you've said English isn't your native language, if you hadn't said anything about it, I'd never have known. Also agree with the majority of what you've said. :supes:

That's very kind of you, thank you. But believe me, it's been a constant struggle to check the spelling, grammar and what not since I discovered international nerdy internet forums about music, film, guitars etc, in the late 90s.

Damn, that's quite a while.. I should be writing various articles about English Literacy by now. But luckily for the world, I chose not to lol.

Let me see if I can do better.

I really like the suit, but I'd be lying if I said it was perfect.

In order of least favorite to favorite.

The boots. A little bulky, and I don't dig the \_/ cut at the top. It shoulda been \/.

The edge of the shoulders. It almost looks like shoulder pads.

The collar. Not a fan, but I understand the why. He has a pretty long neck.

The lines. Too many, but that's just a nitpick. I'll get use to them.

I love the colors. they pop.

I love the S. And I especially love that the S is back on the cape.

The cape is awesome. It's Not too bulky, or too long.

The trunks and belt rock.

David needs to **** and embrace being Gunn's coup de crayon! :argh:

I do have my reservations about the trunks, not gonna lie. But I will say this... it's nice to get away from the muscle suits and the fake abs.

I see now what people are saying that the suit has a GOTG look to it. That's one thing about the suit that doesn't look good.

Say what you want how the Superman suit should look. The trunks aren't what make him appear less scary to children. Interesting point Corenswet made but I don't think that is the reason. Some people say they are tired of the muscle padding. I am just a little bit, but I do want to see at least some muscles as opposed to the bagginess of this suit.

I mean for those that say Superman isn't supposed to show muscles on his suit...um, look at the comics. You can see his muscles.

Hiding his muscles to not scare children sounds silly.
Also I agree about the boots. The boots should have been made with \/ cuts rather than \_/ cuts.

His suit looks plenty fitted in the trailer and the posters imo. That shot of him holding Kelex is a great shot of the bicep and physique. The shot of him saving girl shows the form fit on the legs too.

I still stand by opinion that the suit isn't form-fitting enough; but I do like that the trunks are now little shorty-shorts (or designed to look that way). We can argue whether that's good or not, but I like that it's a new take for Superman's movie costume.
