One of my favourite gifts for Christmas from my girlfriend Rose..A Xbox 360 Watchmen skin for my system.Just put it on tonight after building the entertainment center to mount our new Television on.Enjoy the pics

Upright 360 is a bad idea. Sweet skin though, definitely one of the best I've seen. Wonder what it would look like on an Elite system.

Actually having it upright gives it less chance of over heating, therefore less chance of the dreaded red rings of death.

I've had my 360 upright for 3 years now and not had a single problem

Yeah, and it's even better if you get the cooling station. It doesn't use the Xbox's power, and can keep it cool even when it's off.

The Watchmen design looks pretty awesome though. I have custom labels, so I may just try it out myself.

The 360 shouldn't overheat if it's in an well ventilated area, regardless of it sitting position. The reason upright is bad is that it is easier to fall over or move. Dog walks by a budges the table, someone trips over the controller cable, kid jumping up and down... 360 falls over and the disk will be ruined. The 360 disc drives do not protect the DVDs at all. If the system moves even slightly, there's a good chance you're going to get a nice big scratch on your disk and that's going to completely ruin your game.
