Aloha,
Well by now, all self respecting Spidey fans should have seen the movie at least once. Can you identify the comics that were used in the movie?
Amazing Spider-Man 4 was the first Sandman. What other comics were used?
Spidey rules the Box Office

They combined both Web of Spider-Man #1 and ASM 299(?) to make up Venom's origin.

AMS #136 - First Appearance of Green Goblin II
AMS #252 - First Appearance of Black Suit Spidey in Spider-Man titled comics
Secret Wars #8 - First Appearance of Symboite & Black Suit Spidey

Spidey rocks the Box Office...down with the pirates

Wasn't it Spectacular 200 when Harry died?

Peter Parker #75: Impaled by a glider anyone?
SSM #226: Accidentally backhand MJ, anyone?

:ninja:

Hehehe. I second that.

Spidey owns in the Box Office. Hitting Times Square wednesday to pick up my comics and see the movie again.

Mini Marvels- Brock and Peter rivals because JJJ: :D

the Ultimate Venom arc for Eddie's personality, and the end of the fight with him...also how he reffers to himself as I instead of We.

Aloha,
They also took from the 90's Spider-Man cartoon for the origin of Venom..What comic had the bell tower scene?

Aloha,
The Pirates are sunk.Down with Titanic. No one is going to see the Pirates 3-6 times but Spidey fans are going to see Spidey 3 AT LEAST 3 times-many say that they enjoyed the movie the second time around better than the first. There are so many plot angles that you need to see it at least twice. What issue of Ultimate Spider-Man did they get the scene with Dr Connors and Peter examining the ooze?

Plus Web#1 for the part were Spidey removes the symbiote at our Lady of Saints w/ the bells.
Film was crap btw.

You can also add the 90's Spider-Man cartoon for Aunt May giving Pete her ring. Or was that his mother's ring? I seem to remember the rings (his and hers) were from the Parker family.

that was actually from the Ultimate Carnage arc...in Venom it's Eddie and Peter who are looking at the suit in the lab

god I love Spectacular 200...just re-read it after getting back from the movie...I think that has to be one of the best spider-man comics ever written.

How about the fact that they dug out those old Ben Reilly Sensational issues in order to get the Burglar's last name right? I know that's not quite the meaning of the topic, but it impressed me...especially considering that Marvel itself can't bother to get Aunt May's maiden name right, which was used far more extensively than the burglar's.

Punching through Sandman--ASM #4
Sandman becoming "mud monster"--ASM #217 (Well, sort of. There was no Hydroman in the movie.)

Also Harry's Goblin becoming a hero and helping Spidey is in the comics.

and you can look to JMS' run to see Mary Jane the struggling actress . . .

Could this be the end of Spider-Man? Sound familiar?

BTW - I was also one that had a few issues the first time I saw the film and then just loved it after the 2nd time. I've seen it 4 times and counting... and it keeps getting better. :yay:

Same here, thought the film was great the first time.

Loved it even more the secone time.

Planning on trying to get around to see it again soon.

There's also a comic (I'm terrible with numbers of issues, sorry) where Peter, in his black cloth costume, gives Flash CPR and "wills" him back to life.
