One of my all-time favorite movies and has a spot somewhere in my top ten. One of the most violent and chaotic movies ever yet also very poignant and intelligent with a great point about how irresponsible the media is with how they glorify killers and their crimes. Excellent performances all-around from all involved, trippy directing that adds to the mood and it's loaded with all kinds of brutal action. Make sure you see the Director's Cut, the theatrical version is simply unwatchable compared to the DC. Anyone else a fan of this movie?

I saw it once a few years ago and didn't like it. I remember thinking that I saw what they were going for with the visuals, but that they were obnoxious to actually watch, and that its media criticism was interesting but not that poignant. I actually sold the DVD right after I watched it because I could get back almost all of what I paid for it.

That was some time ago, though, so I'd give it another chance.

This along with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are my all time favorites. I remember the first time I saw this I was like 13 and was just blown away and it has remained my all time fav every since

It might grow on you with a second watch. I didn't know what to think of it the first time I saw it, but the second time it quickly shot up on my list of favorite movies.

This movie is ingrained into my brain, due to numerous viewings. Not a fan of the directors cut, though they screwed up the vibe.

the movie reminds of how batman forever is...if batman forever was rated R

I'm watching it one of these days.. Funny, I don't know if I bought the director's cut or what. I didn't even know there was a director's cut..

I never liked that film. But to each his own.

The packaging would say it's the DC.

One of his best roles for sure. He was both creepy and funny in this, and chewed up every scene he was in.

I personally LOVED the cheesy 'sitcom' with Rodney Dangerfield playing Mallory's dad :awesome:.

That sequence was both hilarious and unnerving at the same time.

I like the directors cut immensely better than the theatrical version. I actually wish they put all the deleted scenes in along with the rest of the extra footage. Nothing is as great as seein Mickey stab Ashley Judd with a pencil in a court room. Denis Learys monologue is hilarious too

Great film. It probably has a place in my top 10. I've always been amazed at how unpopular the film is, but alas, popularity does not equal quality, so I just feel like I'm in on a juicy little secret.

The deleted scenes were all great, my favorite easily being the courtroom scene, even though I understand Oliver Stone's reasoning for it's deletion.
