Near death experiences

I was in one a few days ago because, for some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to go canoeing. Myself and the person I was with fell out of the canoe and were rescued hours later to be hospitalized for hypothermia. I felt like I had a theophany being found with a heartbeat of 30 beats per minute and I remember seeing a chapel that wasn't there.

I guess this is a thread to post them if you've had them. I hope that most of them are good. Good in the sense that the person wasn't left with a debilitating condition.

I have a disease called Wegener's Granulomatosis, and almost died from kidney failure. Have a kidney transplant now, and am doing well. Don't really want to go through that again.

Go into funny pics thread and look a few pages back. I saw a friend walk into a truck. It was going about 5 mph and it knocked him out for a few seconds. Right after that we went and ate cookies.

I was riding my bike down this street and I was crossing over to the other side (I even looked both ways before crossing) when this car out of nowhere comes by and misses me by a hair. The guy in the car poked his head out and apologized.

I was in a wreck in 1996, and went through the windshield and hit the pavement. I stood up with a busted lip and a scratch on my knee. I should have died in that wreck.

Back in 04 we had a bad ice storm. That night I had to drive to work, well I lived on a hill, with a complete drop off on the side, the cliff went onto some train tracks below. I hit a bad patch of ice, lost control and slammed into the railing ripping it almost in half. The railing had bent out so far my car was dangling by the passenger side tires. That was scary as all hell.
