Cool to see your process


I'm curious why you go so dark on your final pencils if you're going to ink over them? Or is it that you convert those pencils to an ink look digitally?

Ted Kord and Peter Parker, Blue Beetle and Spider-Man. They are both characters created by Steve Ditko, one for Marvel and one for DC. And I sort of see them as the same character. Ted made a promise to his dying friend to become the new Blue Beetle but couldn't make the magic scarab work. So he used his intelligence to create non-lethal weapons, a vehicle, and gear, to save the day. Peter Parker has such a high sense of responsibility that even if he had no spider-powers he would feel the need to help and perhaps have become like Blue Beetle anyway. So I made this Best Bugs friendship portrait.

In Agents of SHIELD a character is shown to be turned into Deathlok, he wakes up with one of those cameras in his eye giving him instructions or it will explode and kill him. Then he is given a robot leg and has super strength. This is a sketch I did of what he could end up looking like on the show. Its not finished yet because I want to darken it in with pencil and color it. I don't see them making him wear bright red and yellow, so I have a different color pallet. Here he has his robot leg, cybernetic reinforced skull and another robot eye, since part of his face was burned and his eye was damaged. Iron Man styled tech for his gloves and the rest is regular human gear. I tried to draw him sad also because I thought he would be, fully aware of what he is doing (killing people) against his will or he will be killed and maybe his family too. So This is what I thought Deathlok could look like in Agents of SHIELD. (I posted this description and drawing all over the Internet so I kept the description vague in case of spoilers)

Still not done...
Went with the X-Force color pallet because I thought they would more likely use that rather than his bright red and yellow costume. So I used this. Still going to work on the colors and add more levels of color to make it better.

STAR WARS
..Episode Seven..

It has been 20 (or perhaps 30-40) years since Luke Skywalker, his twin
sister Leia, Han Solo, and the Rebel Army defeated Darth Vader, the evil
Emperor, and his Empire. But while the Dark Side seems to have been
defeated there are still those who refuse to surrender. Queen Leia, her
husband Han Solo, and her twin brother Luke Skywalker are still dealing
with the remnants of this evil empire. Meanwhile Han and Leia have had
children. Twins Jacen and Jaina, and a young son they named Anakin.
Luke also got married to a former enemy, Mara Jade also known as the
Emperor's Hand. He and she had a son they named Ben. Luke is now the
Jedi Grandmaster and is training the children, and the rest of the younger
generation to be Jedis, Queen Leia has also become a Jedi. But threats of
one final effort on the Empire's part to regain power might lead to a war.

What do you guys think of this? I plan to color it. Its a tribute to the
Dave Cockrum X-Men cover, the next episodes of Sat Wars will bring in the
new generation, the children of Luke and Mara, and Leia and Han.
They are from the expanded universe and I have an idea how the stories
could go which i hinted at in the drawing.

My thoughts about what the movies could be about:
[BLACKOUT]There are still stragglers from the evil Empire still trying to hang on,
Queen Leia and Han, and Luke are still fighting them. Luke has marries Mara Jade,
a former assassin for the Emperor. Han and Leia have twins (Jacen and Jaina) and
Luke and Mara have a son (Ben). Han and Leia also have another son they name
after their grandfather Anakin. But during a battle with one of the strangling Sith Lords
Anakin dies. Because of this Jacen ends up looking into the Dark Side and becomes
a Darth Caedus. He kills Mara Jade and this nearly turns Ben to the Dark Side.
Darth Caedus also takes an apprentis, the former love interest of Anakin. The movies
though would center around Jaina, the first female Jedi star. She must stop her
twin brother who has turned to the Dark Side. In the end however she chops off
his arm in a lightsaber battle and then must kill him.
(I haven't read any of the comics or novals, but I think the idea of a
female star Jedi would be great and the concept that she is good while her
twin brother turns bad and she must kill him has to take the center stage
in the film.) But I don't know how this could have a happy ending because
I only researched enough to draw the picture.[/BLACKOUT]
