Nerdy New York Visit

Hey fellow hypsters,
I'm going to New York City for this first time this summer and I was wondering what advice you would give to a small town nerd like myself.

For instance, the DC Comics Headquarters at 1700 Broadway. Do they give tours of this building? Does anyone have any information about this or links that tell about this? I looked on DC's website and various others and found zilch. This is pretty much my top priority of the entire trip.

And also, what are some other fun nerdy things I could up there? Any neat (and hopefully cheap) attraction suggestions would really be handy and appreciated.

While I'm not a fan of the place, Midtown Comics is a great stop. And it's in Times Square so it's a good time all around.

Can't think of anything else right now though...

Midtown Comics is pretty rad.

Visit the empire state building. Aside from that just walk around downtown broadway and head on up to 34th street and 42 and beyond. There's no one place to hit. NYC isn't really an "attraction" type of town.
