I have yet to hear anything about this role as the commander in chief of Gotham. Did he play a massive part at all, or was it basically a cameo?

He didn't play a big part really.

More than Mike Engel. I really expected the poor bastard (The Mayor) to die, but he never did.

Was he wearing eye liner?

that was a crappy role. yeah i guess everyone expected him to die since he looked like bramstrokers gothic dracula and he was probably the first person i expected the joker to kill. but i still cant find wth is AMH haha role of the century yeah right more like 2 minute reporter

Haha yea I noticed that, was pretty distracting. I thought he applied eyeliner.

He seems to be patterned after San Francisco's mayor a bit, huh (Gavin something-or-other)? You rarely see (big city) mayors in movies portrayed as so young-looking (it's always grumpy, silver-haired old farts).

:yay:

he looks like that everytime i've seen him.. whether its 'Lost', 'The Tick', 'Smokin' Aces', etc... it must just be natural.

he did the very little that he was given to do quite well, though

but i agree about the whole AMH thing.. was he told to kind of keep us distracted with speculation on his character or something? i mean, he was good and everything..
but there was no depth to his character other than that he's a news reporter
(i dont even know if that necessarily counts as a spoiler, but just in case..)

he has either crazy dark eyelashes or he was wearing a lot of eyeliner in all his scenes. the second time around i could no longer take him seriously.

He had some mad guyliner on. I hope he comes back as mayor if nolan makes a third and he gets a bit more characterization

"you have no say in the matter"

I liked that bit

i thought he did pretty good for the bit part he had. also seconding the fact that he always looks like he has guyliner...in lost it's the same way. he's awesome on lost.

i like his acting when he was talking to harvey in his office. "how did you get serrilo to hear this farce?" while playing around with his cigar cutter thing-a-ma-jig. ;)

He didn't die because he's friggin immortal.

Eyeliner or no eyeliner, I thought he did some strong work for little bit of screen time he had.

I thought Nestor did quite well. Damn fine looking man...guyliner and all.

Not saying they intended this or are going this way, just pointing it out:

Whos city is it to lose that is also in a postion of power?
Who may not like the Mob helping the League orchestrate the destruction?
Who may be paranoid the League infiltrated all levels and may still be there?
Who promoted an uncorrupt cop in league with Batman?
Who may have a plan and resources to give Joker to hoble Mob?
Who benefits keeping Batman around to stop threats to the city such as league?
Who would have been in place or had people in place to ge to comissioner&judge?
Who is mayor and never had real name revealed?
Who is always dressed real nice, has funny eyes and uses a pen rather than umbrella?

It's a stretch, and is not cannon, but could be a reinvent for the times. Yes, I know Nolan said no tot he character. Interesting though.
