Fantasy Netflix's One Piece Live-Action TV Show


Honestly, from what little I know about the pacing and scale of each arc, leaving Alabasta out of this season and very likely giving it its own season is a smart choice from a storytelling perspective. Including it would’ve been much too unrealistic from a pacing and budget perspective.

The initial group is now established, so you use this season to further develop their camaraderie, spend more time together, go on their first adventure together and just be a family. Plus, it ends with Chopper joining the crew, which is the perfect ending point. Then, with season three, you have the real estate to tell this big grand scale epic with Alabasta.

I don’t know why I didn’t even think of them dividing it up that way, but it makes sense.
