I can understand that. I get really annoyed seeing casting videos suggesting the likes of Jessica Chastain, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Amy Adams as Triss. Like, seriously? Is redhead your only criteria? Let's get Emma Stone to play Triss as well

In case they decide to introduce Shani, I hope they cast a real redhead. No need for familiar faces. Find someone new.

Dyed hair and some lush make-up fits sorceresses more. Beside magically enhanced appearance (Yennefer was a hunchback), they're supposed to look glamorous.

I don't have anyone specific in mind. I probably can throw a few names based on looks, but looks isn't the only deciding factor, even secondary. I saw Eva Green in a bunch of films, where she played various types, but she just doesn't give me Yennefer vibe. Even when she played tough females. Never saw anything menacing or explosive about her. Yennefer should be a walking thunder strike. CDPR, while they departed from the book description in terms of looks (in superior direction, imo), really found a voice actress that carried her character, imo. And they wrote her well.

Shouldn't Triss' actress be relatively young, anyway? I like Katie Leclerc for the role.

I was thinking Rebecca Ferguson as Triss. And sorry to OutofBoose but Eva Green would be perfect for Yennifer imo as well.

I mean I don't hate the Eva Green choice as Yennefer. But I mean I think there are plenty of other talented actresses who could play the role. I love Rebecca Ferguson, but I just don't think that's a realistic Triss choice for Witcher, and I'm not sure I see her as Triss either.

I'd be fine with Katie McGrath. She did a decent job as Morgana on Merlin, though I never thought it was all that great of a show. She's got the look for Yennefer at least.

But what about Vilgefortz? He'd probably be one of the central villains throughout the series? I mean we might not even see him in a first season.

Haha. I like her, but I’m not quite as huge a fan as the average Hype guy. I think she’s great for specific roles but it feels a bit strange how she gets suggested for everything. That said, Yennefer is a role that she’s closer to for me than most that she gets suggested for.
