new ads are out of control on this site

I seriously am going to stop coming here, every single time I click on any link a full screen movie trailer starts playing, I can understand if this happened once per visit, but it happens every single time I click on any thread, or go back, or start a thread, or refresh or do anything, who at SHH thought this was a good idea?! this is extremely, extremely, annoying!!!!!!!!! you guys are going to start losing visitors to the site, ads are OK but not full screen movie trailers that take over your computer any time you do anything on this site now

110% agree. Hate that about the internet overall. It seems back in the day, it took a long time to get on. Now it takes a long time to navigate instead, due to sites cluttering themselves with ads.

Well, I don't agree their selling out etc, but yeah the Purge ad is obnoxious, especially since it makes it hard for me to view SHH at work (Okay I get it, I shouldn't be on SHH at work)

Other than that, the ads are usually very minimal, and I don't mind since sometimes it makes me check out movies that I normally wouldn't, but a little less obnoxious would be nice.

Adblock Plus is turning into a necessity. Just screen capture all the intrusive ads and the mods will send them to Mirko and the Hype Techs to sort it out.

oh my God the freakin trailer popped up and I didnt even click on anything! I was just reading this thread and that damn purge movie trailer came on again!!

as I said I have had ZERO problem with the ads on SHH and i've been coming here for over a decade, but those ads were never full screen movie trailers that take over your computer not once, but every.................single....................time.....................you click on any link or read any thread, there is advertising which I get but this is just out of hand, surely something needs to be done about this

maybe SHH could think about their members and restrict advertisements to how they were before these new full screen trailers pop up every 3 seconds

what these advertisers dont realize is that these annoying ads make people not want to buy their products or see their movies, it has the opposite effect of what they are hoping, i'd never see this new purge movie after this joke, I wouldnt see it anyway but this solidifies it

From what I understand.....the owner is not saying to ad company - Come on in and put any old ad you want up and let it run as much as you want.

When ads like this have occurred in the past, and we bring it to his attention, he says that is the not the way he Ok'd the ad to be run and he gets it changed.

So be patient, he now knows about it.

I know that feeling, that's why I used adblock years ago.
If you want a good web browser, Maxthon blocks ads without the need to install an ad on, and it's a smooth running one, at least that's my experience with it.

Bruh, get your own laptop you can get a Chromebook for like $150 ya cheap bastard. And I'm on the Hype at work all day with AdBlock running on my browser and usually Bookface open too. Step up your day job sucka.

I looked up chomebooks and do they all have **** all for space? The ones I see all seem to only somehow have tiny HDD space when having 100gb is bare basics these days elsewhere.

Chromebooks are designed to do everything in the cloud, you get a good chunk of Google Drive space with them but if you don't have internet it's essentially a paperweight that you can write open office files with.
