New Blade Movie

I would like to see a reboot of this franchise! I really enjoyed the first two but the last film ended on sour note. My pick for the reboot is Elba, but that seems like it would never happen now.

I would support that but if Alan Horn feels that Scott Lang being a thief was too risky for audiences, then clearly a black man will be way too large a risk. I'm going to say no to Blade since there are films with white, straight males without serious character flaws that can be made in their place and it feels better to hope for those because they're more likely to happen while Alan Horn is in place until 2018.

Yes Marvel regained the rights to Blade. The character Whistler though is owned by New Line and created by David Goyer for the movies. So if Marvel wants to use that character for the reboots they will have pay New Line to use him.

Down the line, maybe reboot, but as it stands now I'm completely satisfied with Snipes movies. They're pretty solid (even the 3rd one). Why reboot if there's not rabid demand?

Honestly, I don't think they should make a new Blade movie. Instead, they should use Blade as one character within either a Tomb of Dracula or Nightstalkers movie or TV show. Makes the Whistler issue completely irrelevant.

the guy was a total badass as Blade and personally i find it hard to picture anyone else in the role

as someones previously mentioned, have the new movie be a continuation of the last 3 films. sort of make it like a sequel/reboot much like The Incredible Hulk was

I also say they should bring back Snipes. He still looks good and could still pull blade off. If not, re-introduce him somehow. Either a Blade reboot, or like Lord suggested in another thread: Have the new Blade appear in a Tomb Of Dracula show.

As much as people want to dog on "Trinity," it wasn't that bad...compared to "Spider-Man 3" I think there's still enough potential that Snipes could come back in and sufficiently salvage it with a 4th.

It's not at all a situation like Batman or Superman where an outright reboot was essential following "Batman & Robin" and "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace" respectively.

I think the first "Blade" trilogy and the TV series were all made with an aesthetic and stylistic sense of integrity, in spite of the more comedic approach to "Trinity." Just tone that back down and get reacquainted with the tone and approach of Norrington's film and that's fine.

Bring in Wesley...explain the connective tissue that gets him from where he was at the end of "Trinity" to where he is now and throw Morbius at him. Solved.

If the X-Men can come back from "The Last Stand," surely Blade can do the same.

This is what I want. I loved Snipes as Blade and would love for it to work out some how.

Ryan Reynolds ruins every superhero film he gets casted in. Blade Trinity, Green Lantern, even Deadpool.

Unlike most superhero actors, Wesley Snipes really can kick ass. Idris Elba wouldn't cut it.

He auditioned for Blade in the TV show and got beat out by Sticky Fingaz from Onyx. I am sure the show would of done better with him involved instead but you have to thank Goyer and the other producers of the show for that.
