Anyone thinking of picking these up?

I don't have the originals, so I might get them, but the review on IGN isn't all that helpful. And for some reason they aren't even packed chronologically, they like mix and match them!

What's the verdict?

I'm with Gams. For ever good film they put in the package, they put two bad ones. And the thing is, they're never going to release them individually. That's why I'm thinking of going to Amazon. If they released a package of Dr. No, Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, Man with the Golden Gun, For Your Eyes Only and Goldeneye, I'd be there the first hour its out.

But they'll always release them with Dalton and various Moore crap. They should just make a Connery collection. Each one of his movies (sans Never Say Never) kicks big time ass.

I bought all of them the last time they released them, which was about the third time they released them, I think.

DAlton's Bond movies are perhaps the jewels of the collection, seriously, you'd have to be briandead not to appriciate the awesomeness of Living Daylights, Licence to Kill the first 40 minutes are crap but the rest of the movie is good. Hell the only reason Goldeneye is so good was because it was suppose to be a Dalton movie :o Anyway I bought the two collection, all of the Bond films for me at least have some charm.

Its a good thing I never listen to your opinion Movies. Cause the Dalton films are all ass.

Yes. :yay:

Anyway, I'll get them for Christmas, probably. All the Bond films are entertaining to a degree, so I'll pick all of them up.

Don't forget crushing golf balls. Oddjob is by far the sweetest henchman ever. :woot:

The Bond movies as a whole are not worth buying.
Only a select few are worth buying.

Honestly, I'd say the only ones that truly aren't worth buying are Diamonds Are Forever, Moonraker, and Die Another Day...and maybe A View To A Kill. There's plenty of mediocre movies mixed in, obviously, but there's at least a dozen really good (if not great) movies there as well.

i might have to.......... because goldeneye is out of print

I'm pretty sure they're releasing them individually next year, probably around the time Casino Royale comes out.

Im debating buying them, but I have most of the good Connery ones and don't care for the Moore's or the post Goldeneye Brosnans. BUT it would be awesome to have them all, especially when you can have them for about $10/a movie when you buy both collections.

I am really only interested in Goldeneye (sold the first release, dumb me), Thunderball, and OHMSS, and MAYBE the Dalton ones.

And how could anyone diss Oddjob? He's one of the most popular villains.

I guess the Bond films will be re-released with new cover artwork every time a new Bond movie comes out.

Besides, I think people have them already since they re-released them a couple years ago, and they were already available on DVD before that.
