anybody else seen the promos for this new F/X show? i will pretty much watch anything these guys put out. they are enfuego. this one i guess is about high stakes litigation and it's starring glenn close, who was awesome on the shield for F/X too. this one starts up july 24, who else is gonna be watching?

like the cast ... Close was awesome on the Shield

The female lead is hot, i'll give it a shot.

yup, glenn close is an incredible actress. and rose byrne....well let's just say, i'm in love. cant wait for tonight!

So, who watched it.

I didn't think it was particually great, but it's given enough for me to continue watching for now.

I liked it. Not sure how long of a series it will be, but Close,Byrne, and Danson are good.

I caught it. I thought it was pretty good, and a nice twist on the genre. Typically, class action attorneys are portrayed as being noble do-gooders on film. Not so here.

As for the episode:
I knew that Ellen (Rose) was targeted by Hewes (Close) as soon as her sister-in-law-to-be fessed to her business relationship with Frobisher (Danson). But I admit I was surprised when 'Uncle Pete" got paid off for killing Katie's dog to 'scare' her into testifying for the plaintiffs in the lawsuit. I wouldn't have pegged Hewes to go to those lengths, despite everything that people were saying about her. Nice set-up...

Rose Byrne should be Lois Lane. She looks like Margot Kidder, except hotter. It would be vital though if she can play the tough version of the character, and not the empty-headed, dumb, weak, flat one that Bosworth played.

hey, I liked that "dumbheaded" Bosworth!!:cwink:

Bryne is not that attractive. Her bottom teeth annoy me. Hills and valleys.

I thought it was decent. Enough to make me see where it goes next week. Close was amazing on the Shield (my favorite show) so I have to give it a chance!

Bryne would have been a good casting choice for a Bond girl.

couldnt agree more. it was a different look and i liked it. the writing felt spot on and i am totally hooked. thought the cast pulled it off well. looking forward to the second episode tomorrow night.

I thought this was one of the best premieres I've seen in a long time.....I'm a fan of all the CSIs, the Law and Orders......and its hard to blow my mind with most TV shows anymore.....but this sucker had so many twists and turns I thought it was exceptional......I cannot wait for the next episode.....and I love it when they do it commercial free.....I wish they did that all the time...

I agree, this shows premire was pretty good. I like how [blackout]Patty Hugh's morals are ambiguous in the show [/blackout]
I cant wait to see tonights ep but this seems like the kind of show that the first season will be awesome and the rest won't really be worth it, but Ill have to wait to see.

I like the part were the guy goes
"Patty if you were a man I'd kick your ass!!!"
and she goes 'If you were a man I'd be scared." ...that was so hilarious :D

I haven't said so many holy ****s, and WTF's in a TV show in a long time....lol

I loved it...

HAHA.. Couldnt have said it better myself. I was say all that and I had to lift my jaw up from the floor at the end. So pumped about this show. Can't wait for tonight.

Well the first episode, just continued the excellence. It's been a long time since a series has made me really, really want to see the next episode and look so forward to the next week....It's been year's actually.....

First, Glenn Close is a short woman or that chick was tall.

Man, I was starting to like Danson's character until he put that hit out, then I liked him again when he called it off. I'm so confused, I don't know who the heck the bad guy is?!

I think they're trying to straddle the line with his character. I think it's good that the writers at least TRY to give him something of a moral compass, despite some of the things he's done. He really doesn't want to have to do anything criminal, but he's scared of losing his fortune and desparate.

I think his moral compass are his kids...

It's amazing! In these first two episodes, I can't even begin to wonder how it will all end up!

I wonder what part
the one-night stand guy in Florida
will play...hmmm.

Watched re-runs of the show the other day..i'm hooked already!

the previews never caught my interest

but its playing on FX ALL THE DAMN TIME lol

i'll try to watch it tomorrow
