new Ghostbusters video game??

Thats got to be a mod. Looks better than gears of war but hey its not that hard to do.

wow, a mod??? but it has all new levels, vehicles, models and animations in there...are mods like that now-a-days? serious question...i don't know.

edit: i just posted this in the Ghostbusters thread in the general movies section so i'll post it here too...

i don't know much about mods but this footage shows 2 things that stuck out to me.

1) when you do a dash or sprint in GoW you only have a little bit of control when you're trying to make your character turn. on these videos when you sprint (the camera is at a low point of view) you're able to turn your character quite a bit.

2) in GoW if your character isn't hugging the wall he'll ALWAYS been on the bottom left part of the screen but in the Ghostbusters footage the camera switches points of view while the character is out in the open near the end of the video.

now, i dunno what constitutes to being a mod, but i've never heard of a mod that comes with different controls and camera angles. heh...but like i said, i admittedly don't know much about mods.

that's the stupidest thing i've ever read... think what you want about the gameplay, but you have to be mentally challenged to think that gears isn't easily the best looking game out there to date.

and i really don't think this is a mod. there's too much work put into it for one, and that cgi vankman was just a little too good to just be something some guy came up with.

if this is a real game, i hope it's far from finished, because that gameplay looked kind of boring.

Ghostbusters 360 on hold
Tuesday 16-Jan-2007 12:23 PM Developer ZootFly says its Ghostbusters game has "hit a bump on the road" thanks to licensing issues
A Ghostbusters game for 360 is in development but is currently on hold due to licensing issues says developer ZootFly.

A statement from the team reads: "We are very glad to see the overwhelming response to the Ghostbusters prototype movies. What you've seen is indeed in-game footage of early prototypes on the Xbox 360, running on ZootFly's proprietary engine. Due to licensing issues, further development of the Ghostbusters game hit a bump on the road, but everybody here at ZootFly is working actively on resolving the challenges with the owners of the Ghostbusters IP."

The team has a second project running to keep them busy while lawyers sift through the paperwork. "Not to lose the momentum, a part of the ZootFly team is currently working on an original game called TimeO, which is closely related to Ghostbusters," continues the statement. "The game follows the adventures of two die-hard New Yorkers. They get trapped deep in the shadow world of a parallel New York. The city itself is a war machine threatening to wipe out our world and they have three days to stop it."

As soon as the Ghostbusters IP issue has been resolved, the whole team will go back to working on Ghostbusters.

i've been waiting for a ghostbusters video game for years, ever since that movie tie in on nintendo back in the day

This is great, great, great news. I was just saying in this forum of how we needed a Ghostbusters game. To think we might actually get one is just incredible.

I'm for it, but I don't like the look of the gameplay in the first video.......there should be traps and stuff, not just shooting ghosts til they stop......

Well thats a reallll early version so, i wouldnt doubt if we got all that.

Meh. I might be impressed if they can get it to look more like the Ghostbusters, instead of colonial space marines from Aliens.
