Anyone else looking forward to seeing Starlin's Darkseid in action?

I've been out of the loop, lately, so this is the first I've heard of this. And, it's all I need to hear. Count me in!

And when was this announced, exactly?

The idea pleases me though. Starlin did some great work with the New Gods in Cosmic Oddysey, so this should be good.

I read on another Comic Book website that Starlin had been given the green light to start on "New Gods" after he finishes "Mystery in Space." I have yet to find anything conclusive from the higher ups at DC but from everything I've read on various websites and my other resources it seems as if Starlin will be doing "New Gods" next.

There is also this little page with someone in the background:

Who does the shadowy figure resemble?

Darkseid has a cape now? Works for me. :)

Good way to hide your excitement.

I just read Thanos quest the other day, and now I'm ready for anything Starlin. Especially the New Gods.

I wonder if he'll be the one to answer the question: Where is Scott Free?

I'm a Starlin fan (Mystery in Space is just excellent at the moment) so I'll give it at least a try.

Sounds like it could be good. I'll check it out when it hits. At least start with the first arc and go from there.

Hopefully the first arc has Darkseid set out on a quest to find his long lost testes.

Well, he sure doesn't seem to have any, considering how easily he gets the piss knocked out of him in recent years, compared to how often it should happen if a writer wanted to stay true to the scale of power and essence of the character that Kirby gave him.

I mean, in the most recent years of his appearances, Darkseid's been treated like, and dealt with accordingly, as if he were no better than Mongul, when he should be right up there with Galactus in terms of power and difficulty to defeat.

So yes, he should set off on a long and dangerous journey to find his testicles.

If anyone could give Darkseid his balls back, it'd be Starlin.

Darkseid did come off as a bit of a p***y the last few times I've seen him. :(

But I might wait for the trade on this one.
