it's just a codename, they have no intention of using it whatsoever. I can imagine it'd be mighty confusing if they did.

It's a codename title. It's the title they'll put on signs and production equipment, so nobody knows they're actually filming a Batman movie. If they put up a huge sign saying "Batman movie filming here tomorrow!" the place will be crowded with people trying to get a look. But if the sign says "Rory's First Kiss", nobody's gonna give a damn.

January 2007 probably refers to the date production starts. So, come January 2007, if you live in a major city and see a sign mentioning the filming of Rory's First Kiss, it's actually Batman.

Heath Ledger is the Joker? Jonah Nolan working on new Batman script!

On Wednesday evening (7/20), actor Heath Ledger (of Brokeback Mountain fame) was offered the role of The Joker! Yup, you read it right... Heath Ledger will be The Joker! Apparently, according to Batman-On-Film.com, one of their longtime & trusted sources elaborated that Nolan had been in secret talks with Mr. Ledger about this role for a long time now and that the hoopla over Lachy Hulme, Paul Bettany and other fan favorites was just to get the fire burning.

Also worth noting, David Goyer (the first film's screenwriter) will be working with Nolan's brother Jonah on the script for this film. Mr. Goyer will play a big part in the direction of the storyline & will be a major contributor to the final draft...but this time around he won't be going it solo as Nolan has officially hired his brother to assist with these duties.

And finally, go to BOF and check out his comment from Thursday---Jett (the site's owner) makes a random comment for readers to consider; he drops the following as subtle hints....."1. January 2007 & 2. "Rory's First Kiss" " It may seem odd to comprehend what this means, but I contacted Bill and have a more general idea as to what can be expected if you break this little code. And trust me, it's gonna be HUGE! But for now, until it gets closer to that time, I really can't say much more.

I have been happy assuming that Rory's First Kiss was a fake working title. But if it is something else maybe referring to an actor who might be in The Dark Knight, I'm going to throw up the name of a Rory that hasn't been mentioned so far Rory Culkin. His films "It Runs In The Family" and "Mean Creek" both have his character experiencing a First Kiss. But even considering someone so young will stir up ideas of Robin. So i'm going to go back to thinking its a working title until we see the script review which confrims/denies that specific character.
