Hey, I saw a new Philips Electronics commercial today on MSNBC. It features a guy standing in front of a television, convulsing. THen it goes into the Banner transformation from HULK -- the 2003 movie -- while a VO goes over how wonderful the television is. Really, almost all of the spot is taken from the HULK movie.

Anyone see this? On what networks? I've seen it twice on MSNBC already.

I've seen a slightly different one here in the U.K, its just the transformation in the house shown on a new T.V, good to see they chose Hulk to showcase it though.

i might actually consider it as an early trailer, though i haven't actually seen the commercial.

IT's a decent advert, although it's for the telly and not really the hulk.

The thing about the hulk is that it provides a good fantasy basis for where that technology could be easily used to enhance viewing, especially with it seeming like the anger is flowing out of the tv set (with the box glowing green).

it's a good premises although it does use clips out of sequence from the film and there is also a re-done bathroom scene so bana isn't actually in the advert.

a lil choppy but it gets the job done i think.

^Its good that the Hulk movie was even considered though.

well since the character is a vibrant colour and a bright enough one, it's one of the easiest ways to showcase the product.

another simple choice would be to use the human torch but i guess trying to do the same effect with a flickering fire colour may be too difficult at this point in time.

Using the hulk was a smart option. Saying this though, i'm surprised they went for new movie hulk instead of tv hulk. perhaps the greens used in the movie hulk were vibrant enough to match their background colour schemes...

who knows?:)

Who knows and who cares! As long as the first movie is getting some exposure i'm happy!
