Scooper 'NJS' told Superhero Hype! more about the scene for The Dark Knight that is being filmed at a Chicago post office:

A very good friend of mine is a stuntman working on the new Batman film currently on location in Chicago. He is playing the role of one of Joker's clown goons who robs the "Gotham National Bank" set-up inside the old post office. The clown escapes by crashing through a nearby high rise 20th-floor gliding across the city on a cable to the 9th floor of Chicago's Union Train Station ...I hear this scene is being shot tonight Monday April 16th.

Don't get to down, maybe the Joker is wearing a clown mask as well, but when he take's it off it reveals something much more horrible? Kinda like in the movie Point Break when Swayze took off his Nixon mask......


On a side not it is nice that it appears the info flood gates are opening ......

I dont mind him having a small group of guys he had on the outside to give him some leverage but the idea of them all being dressed as clowns and that just sounds so cringworthy.

I guess it could work if it stays a small minority not an army and the "clown" look is more scary than comical.

My feeling is that the 'clown' thugs will be like.........that clown from that old Playstation game, "Loaded".

I don't think they're actually makeup per say, but like a ski mask with a clown-face design. Or just a rubber mask of a clown. I don't know.

Someone needs to go down there now, because if theres a stunt rig being set up, they'll do it in the daytime to run tests and stuff of it. Nolan prefers everything be done real and not CGI. So most likley they're gonna do this on set.

People tend to wear masks when they rob banks. A clown mask echoes their boss's dark heraldry, and fits comfortably. It also echoes Dark Victory, where The Penguin's henchman effectively dressed as him.
