~ Top titles to look out for in 2007: Thunderbolts, two new books spinning out of Civil War one by Dan Slott and one by Kevin Grevioux of Underworld fame, Ultimate Vison, and three things dealing with Spider-Man

~ Five characters to look out for in 2007: Thor, Jubilee, Punisher, Speedball, and Norman Osborn.

~ Five writers to look out for: Kevin Grevioux, Marc Guggenheim, Greg Pak, Dan Slott, and Zeb Wells.

~ Artists to look out for: the new Young Guns and cover artists Simone Bianchi, Marko Djurdjevic, and Gerald Perel.

~ Jae Lee's ahead of his work on the Dark Tower series.

~ JMS will be doing work on a new story in the vein of Agents of Atlas that will involve characters that haven't been seen since the 40's.

~ Speaking of the Agents, they may be popping up in an odd place, and there's probably a hidden message on the cover to issue 5.

~ No news yet on what Alphona will do after Runaways, who will take over writing Heroes for Hire, or what Joe Casey's new work will be.

Yeah, looks like the site had a bunch of technical trouble.

Joe Q also admitted, for the first time, that DAREDEVIL: TARGET #2 is dead in the water. Now when will he admit as much for ULTIMATE WOLVERINE VS. HULK #3 (or, gasp, #4)? The book has been pushed back now to the end of December and will at, at least, 10 months late and counting. C'mon now. Move on. Make it official. Don't wait until it's a year late.

Looks like Jack Flag is coming back in the aftermath of CW. Will he be the latest "F-List Canon Fodder from Cap's Backlist", like Bantam was? After all, I was wondering why he and Free Spirit from his old "hotline" weren't doing anything. You'd think they'd at least be people Cap'd try to contact in his time of need forming the Secret Avengers.

The original Black Widow returns to action, eh?

And as for that other guy, "Maybe you'd like to put on some pants, or something, before you continue fighting evil today." Maybe Colossus can pull off "showing off my man-gams and not being homosexual", but not him. :p

Alex Maleev is far too talented to be wasted on New Avengers. :csad:

Don't worry, it won't be for long.

And then look at Yu's pencils. Just what I love to see when I open an Avengers comic. Ninjas. Because surely they're a challenge to the Avengers. Y'know, they're so good that Daredevil, Wolverine, Jubilee, Spider-Man, Capt. America, Howard the Duck, Willie Lumpkin, haven't all beaten hordes of ninjas solo endlessly, and that ninjas are barely a step above "random goons with their belly-buttons showing" on the totem pole. Surely there aren't any actual supervillians to throw at the Avengers.

Can you cut my sarcasm with a knife yet?

It's only for the Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch-centric issue.

I know I sound like a broken record, but it's still a shame that something as huge as the "return of Scarlet Witch" has to happen in NEW AVENGERS, a book that really doesn't need any hype and by the pen of the writer who single-handedly turned her from "one of Marvel's longtime team heroines" to "obligatory crazy female who can't control her powers and who brings evil to the world like Eve in the Garden of Eden", and not, say, by Heinberg in the next vol. of YOUNG AVENGERS. What a great way that could have been to spark interest in their second #1 issue next year. What a wasted oppurtunity.

Yeah, but these are super ninjas, ones with throwing stars that can somehow disable Iron Man's veritable Swiss Army armor. :whatever:
I feel stupid for buying the first few issues of that series. Okay, I liked the Sentry arc with McNiven on pencils, and that one gag with Spidey giving Luke Cage webbing boxing gloves was pretty hilarious, but seriously.

The Avengers. Fighting ninjas.

Hmm, well, maybe they couldn't wait for some reason, or they were just looking for something big to use as a filler issue during Civil War, or, and this could be more likely, they'll end this issue saying the story will be continued in the relaunch of Young Avengers. Could be a slight win-win situation for them.

It's possible. I won't hold my breath, though. Lord knows the CW one shot stories have been the rare stories from NA that weren't underwhelming, so they may want to stretch 'em out.

Lenil Yu's art looks good there to bad the colorist will probably **** it up.

Some really nice pencils there. Especially like the Iron Fist pics and the Warren/Wanda cover for X-Men: First Class.

Yeah, the Iron Fist art is killer. And X-MEN: FIRST CLASS seems to continue being fun adventure stuff, which is fine by me.

Besides, cyberv, if we find out that you guys really, really don’t like the way it ends, we’ll just change aspects of the story in the hardcover. I hear that kind of stuff is okay these days.

lol ooooooh

Joe Q takes a jab at DC for their IC hardcover changes, and for once it's warrented.

On an unrelated tangent, can someone explain to me how BULLET POINTS isn't simply a reworked clone of DC's THE NAIL from a few years back?

Damn, I can't wait for Slott's new book.

Yeah, it'd be nice if they treated ninjas like how G.I Joe does with Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes.

Ah yes, the old divert attention from your own screw ups. Lovely.

The IC thing is nowhere near as bad as the crap we've been enduring in the house of money these days.

On the ninjas front, be fair, they're ninjas plus Elektra.:o Really, I hope The Hand kicks the NA's ass, and starts kicking ass all over, so they aren't such hollow threat *****es anymore. Kind of like AIM.:o
