I was at the LA showing as well and was seriously hoping they would be nice and show it again...it was amazing.
"what doesn't kill you...only makes you...stranger..."
I just got chills all over again from seeing that picture. I might just have to make it my new desktop wallpaper.
That pic is very ominious.
I don't want to sound to poetic here... but he look's like some bird of prey ready to pounce on it's victim. And that would be Gotham.
To be honest Joker I have no idea. I thought it was brown until the big reveal where it was green. I have to see it again.
haha, i just did that actually...
Exactly that, and the music toned down a lot when that shot came on (its after the thugs zipline from the building) so imagine... ****ing intense. after that he puts on the mask as soon as the van gets to him, and seems like he holds it there until he can tie it on
t: I think the deal with the hair as some other people on the boards have said is that he prolly put shoe polish on his hair before the heist so no one would recognize him and throughout the heist because of the sweat from everything that was going on it just kind of washed off to show the bits of green in his hair because when he pulled the mask off I remember his hair wasn't completely green yet, it was still kind of dark in places.
Noob: Start your own fawking "Shoe Polish" thread, please. Seriously. Didn't I see you on the Watchmen boards preaching that crap!
Here's my first post for you:
If we see a single can of shoe polish in this movie, then I will eat my hat.
Yea, the mask staring at you is pretty damn awesome. Gives you a great sense of foreboding.Someone needs a hug.
In all seriousness, this is a great photo. I particularly like the way he has his back to the picture and his mask is staring straight at you.
Wow, and the ****wad of the year award goes to....
Its my first post referencing this and it makes sense, at least more sense than his hair just magically turning green moments before he removes his mask.
Sounds awesome.t:
The scene I've got in my head right now is that one scene in the room, where the camera slowly zooms in on Tesla's machine for the first time, and the score swells up into a crescendo....
But, with what Heath Ledger has cited as his influences for The Joker, perhaps we should be thinking of it as this shot (also an "intro" shot) in reverse:

(sorry, couldn't find it with the right soundtrack)
Could Malcolm McDowell have made a good Joker?

You're right: because either it can be explained by 1) Shoe polish, or 2) "Magic".
I can think of several other scenarios. Remember how the Joker is actually travelling incognito (i.e. -- without paint and haridye) with his goons in order to convince them that he's not actually taking part in the heist? Then he picks them off one by one. So in order to not tip them off, he isn't in full-on Joke regalia -- at first.
And that's just one option... I assure you neither show polish or magic will be involved. Because Chris Nolan isn't a fawk-tard.
Could someone put this picture in context? This shot was seen in the prologue, right? Is he just entering the bank or..? What happened right before/right after this shot?
I'm sorry, I know the prologue has been discussed already. But I've only been eye-balling the descriptions b/c I don't wanna get too spoiled. Yeah I know it's pretty ironic that I hang around here at the spoiler section...
But this picture is just so...beautiful. In a grim sort of way I guess. There's something surreal about it. Love the lighting. Love the mask. Love the busy city view.
Why is he staring at the ground or is he just brooding in this shot?

This is after the goons break the window and zipline to the banks roof. That scene cuts into this one, where you see him just waiting there. He is waiting for the van to come pick him up. He gets in and the goon says "thats it? three guys"... Hes not looking at the ground...hes just crazy like that
