It was about fatherhood, adoption, and family in general. It was also kind of about bridging generational gaps since a lot of the kids that Shredder recruited were estranged from their parents/families for one reason or another. Shredder also played into the family thing as well.

However, we do now have the additions of Karai and Baxter Stockman to the villain roster.


Also, Michael Bay is not directing this movie.

His production company, Platinum Dunes, is producing it.

That's where his involvement ends.

He has nothing to do with this movie other than his company's name being on it.

Well aren't they finished shooting? I didn't hear anything about Krang or the Utroms.

I also heard that Casey Jones will not be in this one, I have a feeling they will add a lot more characters like Casey and Bebop and Rocksteady to the next film.

I got to be honest I like the idea of a Krang/Utrom mix similar to the ones in the 2012 cartoon and the IDW comics and it would be cool to see that on the big screen in a similar fashion.

I got to compliment for this movie because it is coming out this year and yet it kept things a secret which is impressive in it's own right and gets more excited in a sense but at the same time I think it would try to do more to hype people's excitement for the movie more. Because honestly there was times I forgot this movie was even coming out.

More likely they have a whole heap of technical re working to do. The entire approach was hella experimental. Pre vis can only cover so much.
