"Chris is not coming to HK.

Production has asked the buildings along HK harbor to keep their neon lights on all night long during the roof top shootings to take place the second week in November.

Those who have been to the city will know that the harbor is a festival of lights at night -- some celebrating the coming of the Olympics others just bring a very carnival atmosphere to the skyline.

The stunts cancelled were -- as you said -- not critical to the story line. What’s critical to a story we really don't know anyway, right?
The stunts were practiced extensively in Chicago -- remember the hot dog SWAT stunt? No more. L

The other stunt was practiced outside of Chicago and was to be a parachute jump into HK harbor -- also no more.

The Dark Knight will have a meeting with Fox here on a rooftop, what it’s about is any ones guess, so Mr. Bale and Mr. Freeman will be HK bound very soon.
That's all for now."

Neon in a Nolan Bat-Film...

It sounds familiar...:csad:

j/k Hong Kong is actually like that at night, so it's all good :woot:

So they are filming there but with no stunts?

Shame, both of those sounded pretty spectacular.

Who knows why they arn't shooting it but they would of been great.

So it looks like CGI is now gonna come into play I guess.

God I hope not. NO CGI IN BATMAN!!! THATS NOT REALISTIC!!!

It's how it's implimented not the cgi itself, movie's like the new starwars movies, completely over used them.
Batman begins had a fair amount of cgi, but it was merged in very well.
Almost all the bats were cgi, scenes of the city were cgi merged, batman flying, scarecrow hallucination, the horse looked ****ing amazing imo.

The horse did look good. I love that scene. Some CGI is nice when it's missed in but not overboard like most movies, like Star Wars.

They could be going there for establishing shots. Stunts using that backdrop can be recreated on a soundstage or movie lot.

Boooooooooooooo..............neon lights, that is.

yea true...also if they have any scenes not involving stunts.

Anyone else think that this shoot has been plagued with problems? broken Imax cameras, death of a stunt coordinator, now multiple shooting delays and cancellations in HK....sucks.

CGI is only useful in stunts when stunt work won't be able to achieve what needs to be seen. So it's probably 100% needed in this situation...

And what? Scarecrow's horse was CGI?????!

Could Mr. Socko be getting his Neon Thugs?

Well I now hate Hong Kong considering they stole two stunts from my TDK

So Nolan's not going to HK? I thought he likes to oversee everything.

Gotham Harbor, should be a nice shot.

The horse was real. The fire was CGI though.

I wonder if Batman and Alfred will play ice-hockey with an expensive, rare diamond in his flick?

lawlz.......

Originally weren't there rumors that Wayne as himself and Batman were going to appear in HK, Wayne to meet with Lau, and Batman to "arrest" him or whatever. Then people were saying that on Batman would be in HK. Maybe Fox is there for the meeting with Lau, with no one knowing that Bruce Wayne is actually in HK, leaving no chance for suspicion that Bruce Wayne and Batman are one in the same.

I smell BS. Why? "Chris is not coming to HK."

Christopher Nolan does not have a second unit, so who the hell's gonna direct? My grandma... Naaah, that report is just BS...

The horse was real. The fire was CGI though.

I was about to say.... I mean, of course it's going to look real with few cgi impliments... we HAVE gone that far to make it believible.
