Superman Returns New Pictures of Lex and Lois!!!!!! 4/11/2006

I don't mind OldGuy, I liked having him around. He believed in his opinions and provided facts to back his opinions. Can't really knock it, even if we didn't agree. He's like the salsa on a taco.

His concerns are valid.

There's times when I'm thinking "Singer is paying TOO MUCH of homage to Donner". Sometimes, I do feel like this is a vague remake of the original film. BUt then again, we don't know enough to prove that.

At the sametime, I would rather have this movie than to restart the franchise again. Dude, we all know the origins, we don't have to do again. That would be boring. Singer is right by stating that Donner did a good job on the origins: Period.

Exactly, I don't want the origins again either. It's enough already.

I would have just started it up again, as if we all were familiar with the character and what happened.

^^

I personally quite like oldguy.. but thats another reason i like this place..it full of people fighting for there opinion to be heard.

Oldguy is cool with me. The guy has valid points, and he fights for his opinions.

I agree about OldGuy, I wish he would come around more.

In regards to the storyline, I would have made references to all four movies and continued from there. I would have shown an older Superman, 30's, who is facing other struggles.

I like that Singer has Lois moving on. My idea would have the same thing happening, but with no kid. I would have used alot of what Kevin Smith was trying to do, "You belong to the world Superman" She rejects Superman flat out! How great would that be. Then what does he do? He has nothing?

^^^

People so love an happy ending.

would have been a great twist on supes.. but look at the efforts being thrown around? polar bears.. lex an alien. the list goes on..i think singer did the right thing and continued with something that was ready to be expanded.supes 3 ended what had been set up.. singer is just expanding a great story.

hell... i love happy endings... that's one of the reasons why the damn kid bothers me so much... i hope it isn't Lois' or for that matter... Superman's...

even if it is..better than polar bears, alien lex..giant spiders. black suit that goes transparent.

I hope that Singer made the right decision with the ending. Sure it's better than a giant spider.

But it might mean that the kid will still have a role in the next film, regardless if it's Superman's. It's still Lois' kid.

I don't want a "Mummy Returns" movie, where the kid would be like "My mummy and daddy are going to kick your butt".

Yeah. Can't disagree with that. But still... the kid... is a worrying factor :(

I don't think thats going to happen..i think the kid.. will.. die,or lois will break it off with richard. her being the step mum.

I don't mind Singer's decision, but I would have stuck with the current continuity and even made some jokey references to Nuclear Man or Gus Gorman.

i agree,i too am very worried about that... but i will go with the flow..whatever it is..its going to be great finding out.

Well... in this case... it's only the daddy who can kick butt... mommy can write about daddy kicking butt, for the people to read... :o

There is no doubt a reason for the kid being there, it is to give Superman an even bigger challenge, and probably for something else yet to be determined. Either that or it's a red herring.

If I was using Singer's story, I would have Superman return to find out that Lois is Engaged but with no kid, and that Lex was running for President and is embraced by the public. Now what is Superman going to do? How does he get out of this one?

I wan't the kid to die..i think that happening and supes being unable to save him due to the stabbing,or not arriving in time... that would blow lois's and supes relationship into the heavens.

That was my idea too, showtime:

Have Lois being with Richard.

Then I would have Lex still the tecnhology from the FOS. Then he makes money by sellling the tech to the military, and forms Lexcorp. Then when Superman returns, have Lex play around with the tech, creating destruction. Then he should blame Superman for that, and have the whole country turn their back on Supes.

Superman sits with the kid in a park and asks him for advice...
"So, what does your mommy hate about your daddy?"

EXACTLY! That validates everything even more, and gives us some more relation to the comics.

I think you're are going to be presently surprised!
