I do hope after Justice League people will like this movie more, assuming Superman finishes his character arc in that movie. I literally cannot for the life of me figure out why people don't like this movie. Then again, I also can't figure out why people like the Marvel Movies so much, or why so many movies that I think are totally ordinary/medicore get such good reviews. I saw The Jungle Book last week, to me the most safe/ordinary/boring movie it could have been. There was nothing "great" about it, everything was just "average" at the very best. Guess my opinions of movies just seem to be opposite everyone elses.

I'm going to see this movie one last time in theaters today- my 6th time believe it or not. I LOVE this movie.

I'd like if DC didn't expand to many more characters after the justice league movies. I think if they stick with the group of the main 7 good guys you already have 14 movies plus the justice league and suicide squad. That would be a lot of character development of they don't go outside that group. I think this is one way they can continue( in my opinion) to have better stories than what Marvel puts out. I know that's just my opinion and not the majority of the general audience but that's what I'd like to see.

A reminder to everyone.....this thread was created for the people who like the movie to be able to come in and talk about it without having to worry about those who didn't like it coming and talking bad about it....one of the ways for that to be enforced is that the people who like the movie can not bad mouth the people who did not like it and can not spend their time saying how they don't like the Marvel movies (what is considered the antithesis of BvS tone) because those people are not allowed to come in and rebut those comments. This thread is not to be used to attack the opposition.

I was quite disappointed by it too. Based on what I'd heard I was expecting a great story but there wasn't really one. Apart from the visuals there wasn't much else to it. It was in 3d as well which I've come to hate. Was BvS worth seeing in 3d?

I love Zimmer's Superman theme, as heard in these cues:

What are you going to do when you are not saving the World?
Look to the Stars
Flight
Earth
Day of the Dead
This is My World
This is Clark Kent
Sent Here for a Reason
Man of Steel suite

He really nailed it. Those touching piano notes, and the surging optimism and power of that main theme. His Krypton theme is also good.

Here's some positivity about the opinions of this very forum.

Despite a vocal and argumentative minority on this site, it has become clear that the majority of the members of SHH enjoy BvS and give it a high rating.

For confirmation, see the poll thread: http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=511611

Currently, out of 431 voters, 62.42% give BvS a 7 or higher on a scale of 1-10. Only 16.71% give it a 4 or lower. That leaves 20.87% in the mid-range of 5-6.

If you read through the various threads in the BvS forum, a false impression may emerge that most members of SHH hate the movie or think it's bad/disappointing. Given the poll numbers, it's safe to say that perception is flawed. The majority of members rank BvS 7-10.

I can't believe why I didn't bother to look for those videos where a guy goes around in a movie theatre and asked audience what they thought about the movie. Found one.

Really loved how it was reminiscent of the animated series from the 90s in tone.

I just can't get over Beautiful Lie from the soundtrack. Hans Zimmer's finest work is BvS, no doubt about it. And this is from someone who's only loved and stood by Danny Elfman's pieces. Beautiful Lie is now among my most favourite :)

I rank it second to his work on Interstellar

That, and Day of the Dead are my favourites. Top quality.

I just found a great article that sums up why I like Snyder's take on Superman and analyzes why BvS works as a Superman story:
http://screenrant.com/batman-v-superman-best-story-movie/

Such an insightful read into both MoS and BvS... It's reviews like this one that really show the intricacies of the movies and what they set out to achieve.

There are so many questions asked of what would happen if a Superman arrived on Earth in today's world, and the challenges the world would face and that man would face.

I read the Batman review from this guy next and he hits the nail on the head with BvS' version of Batman as well, in how he would handle the arrival of Superman....

great read and it just makes me wish the Blu ray was available now so I could watch this again and again to grab all these things while watching. My first viewing, I was just along for the ride. My next viewing I'm sure I'll pick up how everything ties together.

Day of the Dead was great. I'm curious as to whether there is any reason it's extended on the soundtrack (like Beautiful Lie and a few others), gives me hope that the scene is longer in the Extended Cut.

I'm wondering if the Batman/Superman fight is longer too?

Absolutely. Whenever that track plays, I get into a different mood - calm and emotional.
