He's standing on a gargoyle on the Chrysler Building and he is just way too high up. But yea it's still one of the greatest posters.

It's not a gorgoyle, it's the head of an eagle, which is indeed on the Chrysler Building. And that view is pretty much how high up it would look if you or I was standing on it.

everything on it looks great, how does it not make any sense?
i respect you. you can like it. bu that doesnt mean that you have to lie to yourself. i said it already that the angle makes no sense. it is not possible. posters are always made so that tehy look cool. they dont need to look realistic and some dont.

im not lieing to myself about the poster, i really think its amazing, if you whent on top of a tall building you would look down and see that the angle is the same as in the poster, this poster is very realistic.

they made water drops on the lenses

That is one kick a#$ poster. Maybe Warner execs look at it and say: WOW, NOW THATS THE WAY TO MARKET A SUPERHERO FLICK!!! Than pick up the phone and say: PROMOTION DEPARTMENT? YOU ARE ALL FIRED!

:)

The Dream:

In regards to the green balance being higher in the second poster (red int he reflection and black as the front image

Do you all remember the symbiote dream?

This was in an issue of amazing (cover) as well as the 90's TAS (when peter gets taken over by the symbiote)

we know that in the movie peter will wake up with the black suit on. but maybe the second poster is his dream (visually) before he wakes up.. his struggle with the symbiote in his mind?

I'm probably way off base... but you never know

Sorry if this has been brought up before.

:gg: Man 'o" man do these posters ever put me in the mood. :venom:

The new posters are lousy.
Not only is the "thing" on the right in an impossible position, with both legs seeming to come out of the left side of the body, the lower parts of the legs are horribly photoshopped.

ALso, the "thing" on the left is not representative of the newest footage we have seen. We know from the last trailer that the webbing on the black suit is spaced larger than the red and blue, and that is not what we see here. The only thing that seems to be correct is that the black thing seems to be a little thicker and bulkier that the red and blue thing.

I like the first poster with the black costume on the outside and the red/blue in the reflection but the second poster should have just been a 'negative' of that with the red/blue on the outside and the black costume in the reflection.

the colour balance with the extra green just looks like a printing mistake

you mean the webbing is thiner? the symbiote suit is correct plus the texture is 100% the same.

in defense of the posters

1) spidey's leg position different in the reflection
well obviously it's not a 'perfect' reflection otherwise the colours of the costume would match as would the logo on his back as well, the 'reflection' is in peter's mind, hence liberties with spidey's posture in the reflection.

2. green/yellow tint
I actually think it is a lenticolour poster, you'd hope if sony were going for a 'nightmarish' effect they'd do more than just add green :whatever:
