If you were going to make a Punisher movie,What would it be like?
I've heard a LOT of people say "Well If I won the lottery..."

Well If you did win the lottery, what would you do?

I just wanna know your guyses opinions on A Title,Cast,Plot, and Characters....Bassicaly if you had about $35,000,000,000 to make a Punisher movie, what would you do?

Adapt The Slavers...like no compromises here, panel by panel with maybe a few touch ups of The Slavers.

Tony Scott as Director...people keep saying Man of Fire is the best "Punisher" movie so so far...why the hell not? Michael Mann would also be a good choice...

Convince Ennis to do the Script or work with a Script Writer to effectively convey his ideas.

Hard R...sadistic/serious minus the camp.

New York

It be a cool easter egg to try to somehow tie this into the Marvel U...dont have to but it be cool to have a Blade, Daredevil, Spider-Man or anyone from the Knights universe. For Slavers I could see Black Widow and Blade making a cameo (I've thought this out)

Title: The Slavers
Plot: Frank saves a young woman who is being used by a Russian mob family as part of their sexual slavery ring. Frank then sets out to eliminate them and any other ring using girls as slaves for money from the streets of New York City.

Cast:
Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle
Olga Kurylenko(sp?) as the girl he saves from the Bulats(sp?)
Ed Harris as the sr Bulat
Rosario Dawson as the social worker
Hayden Christensen for the younger Bulat

Well, it really depends if you mean 35 billion like you wrote up there, or 35 million, like Punisher War Zone had (although apparently it may have been much less now)

I'm going to assume 35 million.

First off, I'd make it a sequel. This movie wasn't good, ok, but no small-time production can survive another reboot this soon. I'd sort of keep the camp, and have the action done Desperado-style. If you've ever seen the movie, picture the first scene, and have that be the Punisher instead. Yeah.

So, like Punisher MAX up there did...

Hard R... but with the camp.

New York and surrounding areas.

Title - Punisher: War Journal (I know, lame, but I'd like it if he did Sin City-esque sililoquies throughout.)

Plot: A mixture of Up is Down, Black is White and Long, Cold Dark with Barracuda as the main villain, replacing Nicky. Instead of having it about revenge though, he's basically going after Frank because he heard he's the best, and he feels he can draw him out and beat him so HE can prove he's the best. No child stuff from Long, Cold Dark and no spies or Nicky's childhood from Up is Down, Black is White.

For Casting, I'd keep Stevenson. Don't really care about directors, just get someone who's shot an action movie before.

oh **** that if we're going for Desperado-esque then id do the Barracuda arc with Robert Rodriguez directing...now thats camp that im in favor of.

Oh no. Don't let that hack direct anything ever again. And if he directs, force him -by contract- to leave the editing room.

I meant Tony Scott :o

Fixed.

id prefer Mann...i liked Collateral and, kill me now, liked the feel/tone of Miami Vice.

plus, ykno, with Heat under his belt...

I think Mann lost his touch over the years. I liked HEAT and all, but never thought it was that great either (now you get to kill me :hehe:)

only other two directors id want for Punisher would be Zack Snyder or Robert Rodriguez

I'll take Tony Scott over Robert Rodriguez any day.

eh...I LOVE Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico...Planet Terror and From Dusk till Dawn were also epic :D

I hate Desperado, Once Upon a Time and From Dusk till Dawn.. truly awful s**t I wish I had never seen :O Haven't seen Planet Terror yet

oh well that explains your distaste for RR haha

Planet Terror is an awesome grindhouse movie. plus it has rose mcgowan with a freaking M16 strapped to her leg how epic is THAT??

You know, just the other day they released Planet Terror down here (last thursday)--and in march they're releasing Death Proof

NOW?? o_O;

Death Proof was whatever though...I suggest watching Planet Terror.

Yeah, just now. No confidence in getting back any investment :hehe:

i saw Grindhouse in the theater and it was such an awesome experience seeing a double feature plus the faux trailers...it really was a grindhouse experience.

You can probably skip Deathproof though.

I don't know about Rodriegez wanting to do a Punisher movie though, especially not for some punk who has just won $35 million in the lottery.
