I have to go with Moon Knight. He fits it 100%. He has an old friendship with luke cage, the only member the new ronin has conversed with so far.

Moon Knight has recently started to hate his god khonshu, so the idea of a "masterless samurai" suits him well.

Bendis says... "it’s someone I have an affection for who also has a history of donning a guise that best suits his or her mental tone." In the most recent wizard Bendis named Moon Knight as a favorite character right after daredevil. And what other character fits the "has a history of donning a guise that best suits his or her mental tone." better than Moon Knight?

Also the pose ronin is shown in, in the group shot you see in the latest wizard, he is in a pose that Moon Knight and none of the other speculated characters (zemo, hawkeye, winter soldier) would be seen in.

Anyone agree with me here?

Marvel needs another hairy Canadian midget in the fore-front...or not.

My votes on Rick Moranus, what the hell happened to that guy anyway?

i think he was killed by jack bauer, to protect america

not a bad theory. i had not even thought of moon knight. it makes sense, though, considering his title's going to really struggle when finch takes off.

Hmmm, nice theory. I remember reading something where Bendis said Ronin's idenity will be revealed quickly this time. Seeing how Steve is showing up in the next Moon Knight issue, and the New Avengers are the anti-reg team, this could work.

My bets on either Hawkeye or Blade :o

BTW, what group shot in Wizard? Can anyone scan and post it?

Can somebody tell me why it can NOT be Matt Murdock? I think it's him. Plus Jerkofwonderjust said that it is a hero the Bendis has an affinity for, he has said that DD is one of his favs. Plus DD has wore a costume that displays his mental tone. It could be either Matt or I kinda could se Marc too though.

Just curious, but...where are you guys getting Hawkeye from? I can't think of a single reason why he would change identities....and i dont recall him being a disciplined martial artist as much as a brawler.

in one of the joe fridays, joe said that hawkeye fans will love bendis this year.

besides, hawkeye's changed identities before. the one that does bother me, is that he isn't a martial artist.

I am very interested to find out who it is under the suit, would this return be to small of a thing if it turned out to be Hawkeye? Wouldn't his return be more of a big deal?

Joe or Bendis said that Clint was gonna get a new costume, and that everyone would love Bendis be this year's end. Plus Clint changed to Goliath to set his "mental tone", so he's changed ID's before. Plus Cap taught him martial arts, and not to mention that since Clint is back, what's the purpose of him keeping the Hawkeye name, when someone else has it now? To me, it's easily him. :o

well, since captain marvel's return was treated like peanuts, i wouldn't expect much for old clint.

Dude if your a protege of Cap'n freaking America, then your a martial artist.

Much luv LC

Clints is obvisously more of a marksman, but he can throw down when the bow is broken.

so it would seem.

but i can't say i've ever seen clint ninja kick anybody...

See, that's why i'm thinkin that's where the sword comes in. The new Ronin doesn't look like he's a real master swordsman. Which means that since Clint is a master archer, and were to ditch the bow and arrows, that sword would be his only defence. And yeah, Clint has thrown some kicks around :o

You know it, brah. :ninja:
