People complain because the crap movies that they complain about are movies they dont want to see. Snakes On A Plane is a movie people want to see.

it's getting attention because it's self aware. it's called 'snakes on a plane' for gods sake. if it were to have a pretentious title like most movies of this kind, like "wings of death", "fangs of flight 316", or something that implies snakes on a plane while not actually being 'snakes on a plane', everyone would be complaining as usual.
