I just found this out.
There isn´t much to talk about, but let´s start with this:

A couple of years ago, Midway was working on a video game called Hero....

Several pieces of concept art for Midway’s abandoned supernatural action title Hero have popped up online over the past week, and while some of the previous screens were impressive, the latest batch uncovered by Silicon Era are just upsetting; Irrational Games' Monster Island, and Steven Spielberg's LMNO kind of upsetting.

Based on what little info we have about the game, Hero was evidently supposed to be something akin to the NBC series Heroes (Get it?! His name is Hiro AND he’s a hero!) with a cast of superpowered characters who must battle to save the world or coordinating bingo nights at local retirement homes, whichever is more physically and mentally demanding.

Based on these shots, the game looks strikingly similar to Sucker Punch’s inFamous series, which is doubly interesting when you consider it was in development at the same time as the first inFamous. Although, all of this is irrelevant at this point, since the game has been dead for a couple years, but it’s still fun/depressing to think of what it could have been.

...but Midway went bankrupt, and the game was cancelled.....or was it?

If you can´t see the pics, go here: http://www.siliconera.com/2011/01/1...and-details-about-midways-canceled-game-hero/

Wow...i really forgot about this thread.
Ok, pot and posting doesn´t mix, and there wasn´t really need for a thread about this, but, what the hell....
So, to finish it:

I found out yesterday about a new dev team called Phospor Games Studios

Phosphor is a Chicago-based game development studio comprised of the best and the brightest, most recently from the former Midway Chicago studio, with decades of AAA game dev experience, and a history of financially successful and critically acclaimed titles across the industry. Our veterans have team lead and Sr. experience on 3rd person Action adventure, FPS, MMO, Sports, Motion Control, and Casual titles.

This new company have already worked on several games, doing very small things, the last two being the upcoming Bulletstorm and Gears of War 3

Check out all the cool offical info on Gears of War 3 and Bulletstorm! We are just doing a small part on these, but exciting for us nonetheless...

Their first and only game so far is one of the levels for Kinect Adventures...

We designed and created the SpacePop game in Kinect Adventures that comes with every system. It has been pretty overwhelming for a small developer like us to see so many people playing your first game (so far, 8 million people own it!). Space Pop is one of the first Kinect games to use pure full body and spatial depth movement for gameplay.

They have one game in the making, it´s called Project Awakening, and yes, it´s Hero

We are working on a very innovative 3rd person action-adventure title for next-gen consoles for 2012. This fully original Phosphor Games Studio project builds on our experience and lessons learned from past projects and expands on all the best features that made past work so eye catching. This title will change what you expect from games.

So, bottom line of all of this, a new superhero game is coming in 2012

WOAH! Wait...I just saw the second link on the bottom of the second post. Is that Project Awakening?! :wow: LOOKS LIKE HERO!!!! YESSSSSSSSS

So, I don't know if I've misunderstood something but the game is no longer open-world correct? I was reading a longer interview about it before and even tho it wasn't stated out right it was hinted. Anyway it's a really cool concept and I hope it comes out great.

Wilhelm Scream at 1.20 in the second Awakened trailer btw, just something I noticed.
