Holy lord those are awesome.

As has been pointed out, I love the subtle differences between the Turtles' character designs... Raph and Leo's sharper eyes compared to Don and Mike (just like the current cartoon), Raph's broader chest, and the differences in eye colour (Mikey, at least, has blue eyes, but Leo and Raph seem to have brown).

Edit: Also, I love the texture of the Turtles' skin. Leo in the first pic, for example, is really close-up, and you can see blotchy, delicate spots, and slight wrinkles around his brow. Amazing.

Ralph doesn't look like he has just a broader chest, he looks like he's the strongest one in the group. Just look at his arms, chest, neck, and shoulders.

I can't wait for this movie!! I had my hope in a different retro movie, but I think this one will be better. TURTLE POWER!!!

good morning sensei, miss o'neil , gentlemen.:ninja:

Those are some good pics, showcasing the CGI and even a sneak peak at our human supporting members, and the Foot & Karai. This definately looks pretty, let's just hope the writers and actors uphold their end of the film. :D

the pics are awesome, but what I really want to see are some new trailers

I want to see what Casey looks like in his mask that's not an action figure. ;)

Turtles = Awesome.

Splinter = Looks like one of the rats from "The Secret of Nimnh."

Casey Jones & April O' Neil = Look like Disney's "Tarzan" or "Atlantis: The Lost Empire."

Oh well...it's nice they're returning to their cartoon/comic-book roots. Just wish they could get the original voice-cast from the other Turtle movies.

for some reason, i just don't like the turtles' eyes. I wish you could see the eye lids more..

Those are awesome indeed, dude ! Turtle Power!

Leo in the first pic ,especially, looks like one bad ass turtle.

Splinter looks like a mountain lion than a rat. I'm going to be nitpicky but keep in mind I love this movie before it's out. Splinter's nose is all wrong, rats do not have the upsidedown Y at the end of their snout either. You should see at least, incisors, he's a rodent. His looks reminds me of Chester Cheeta of Cheetos. In TMNT 1, he looks like a rat.
Raph's plastron is WIDE. Don't they know, female turtles have WIDE plastrons?! Mike's too thin, he was the chunky one in the live movies.
I'm not overly happy with the downsweep of the upper edge of the plastron, it should be up at a slight angle or straight across.
Why does the mask stick out from their head on the upper edge? Looks funny. And not enough green around the eyes. Don't like Mike's brown "innocent" eyes. Why does he have to be the innocent stereotype?! He can kick butt, he can be serious...jeez...he's serious in the comics! And he can have fun.

ok im done whining haha

I'm really looking forward to this though, i can't wait! *drools in anticipation for some hot Raph action ;-P*

the turtles do look a bit too thin but I think that's what Munroe was going for. In the early comics the turtles are all not as ripped as they ussually appear now in the comics & tv.

Splinter is also a mutant, it's ok for his too look like an abnormal rat. And besides, in real life, I have yet to see a rat mimic any human moves, much less intricate ninja training, from his cage. Just an after thought.

He looks like a really abnormal lion though, rats simply do not have the nose 'pad' like dogs, cats and similar animals. They've given him one, it looks wrong. They have small pointy nose tips with no pad.

I agree that the sage cat thing that Splinter has going on is silly. But do you really expect them to research detailed Turtle anatomy? Rat has the broadest plastron because it reminds people of a broad humanoid chest, and Raph's supposed to be strong. I'm glad Mikey isn't chunky; he's not that lazy. Anyway, I agree that his eyes look innocent and the character portrayals that have become mainstream--especially for Michelangelo--are nothing like the original comics. Isn't this movie supposed to follow the spirit of those comics?

But I do think the art looks beautiful and I can't wait for the movie.

So true on Raph. I think the design department did one heck of a job capturing each of the Turtle's personality traits through their physique alone. Imagine what the personalities will portray once the film starts rolling?

What I mean is, Raph's two main traits are his tempers and that he is the strongest Turtle out of the four. They captured his strength.

Leo is the leader and most all around skilled fighter of the group. You can see that aire of confidence in his eyes, and that he is built, not like Raph, but more so than Mikey.

Mikey, he's the funny one, but is also know as the most athletic and the most natural fighter. They captured that athletism by having him portrayed like a gymnast.

Donnie, the smart one. He has some size to him, I always thought he was known to be strong himself, but you can also catch a glimpse of wisdom in his eye as well!

Im sure the film will still be great, lot's of stills but i dont think it ruins anything exept that big thing in armor and helmet, may have much humor and it's cgi but im sure big tmnt fans of all ages, it seem to be mix with kinda dark and gritty like the original comics but humor from the cartoon shows

:wow:

Those're damn nifty. I wonder if they'll get taken down soon.

The pics look spiffy. I'll say the Turtles themselves still look better than Casey, April, and maybe Splinter, but as they are the stars, it's nothing new. The stills essentially seem to run through the whole movie but I just scimmed. Casey looks a bit lean to me, but that seems to come with Matsuda; he either makes figures really skinny or horribly blocky; just look at THE BATMAN.
