New Year... New Site...

Well none of the images seem to be working for me, so good job guys! :awesome:

I might visit the front page maybe 2-3 times a year. :p I just load the forums.

Still looks the same to me?

It is weird. But ok.

Jhonny Deep for Dr Strange???

Whaaaaaaaaa?

The main page looks more sleek & streamlined.

I am on my tablet and the new design looks great! Modern and neat/clean. Great work SHH!

I always check the main site; thats's how I get to the forums. :P

What happened to the Coming Soon headlines at the bottom of the page? Those were nice for non-superhero movie news without jumping to the Coming Soon site (which now I will never do).

Also not sure about all the in-your-face graphics that I dislike about other sites, but I guess I will just get used to it.

Looks nice, it'll take some time to get used to though.

I appreciate the update to the page but I have a few critiques.

1. It looks plain. Not streamlined, just plain and boring.

2. This kinda plays off my first point it is too "Skinny" if you know what I mean, it doesn't use enough of the screen.

3. It looks like you guys looked at the IGN mobile page, which is just so damn awful, and made a copy of that.

4. The logo is doesn't pop, just yesterday the logo was huge and it showed some pride in the site.

I know it seems weird that a poster would care this much but I take pride in coming to this site and have enjoyed it since it was just Spiderman-Hype and have given this site a ton of GWAM I just want it to look like it's what I say.

I get that Streamlined sites are the way of the future and everything has to look slick and stuff but I just don't like this. If this was Crave mandated I get it and we have to suffer but at least change the logo. haha

Thanks for reading if you do.

So much wasted space. Significantly less information on my screen than before. It's really amazing to me how awful designs like this are somehow popular.

It'll take some getting used to but there is way less information. I understand wanting it to be ok on a tablet or phone but this scales the info down a ton

Also come on where's Hyper? :hyper:

Something similar will be coming ...uhm, soon.

I have to be honest I'm not a fan of the desktop version of this site. On my mobile it looks great, it appears you have used responsive to get a clean mobile version. However the desktop looks far too plain. A lot of dead and wasted space.

The article listings only going to two thirds of a page, it should expand to almost the full width. This is in firefox and chrome. In IE it looks slightly better. This could be due to the fact that I have adblock which is probably killing the side bar and top banner.

Somebody pointed out that the logo doesn't stand out and i agree.

The links to the articles could be highlighted a bit better to make them stand out and not just be bold black text.

In IE the thumbnails for the articles are small and look off.

All in all I think its been overly simplified.

I do however like the fact thats its not split into two columns anymore, the news and features one.

No Shock-Till-You-Drop headlines, nor Coming Soon news (which was very convenient to catch ALL movie news on one front page) which is lame. It's probably a sexy layout for mobile devices, but right now on my desktop it looks too...mobile-ish.
