Next best thing to a GHOSTBUSTERS 3?

wow, that was insane.





and it is a mod to gears of war, look above the building in the clouds, i just noticed it. its one of the gears of war characters.

i don't know much about mods but this footage shows 2 things that stuck out to me.

1) when you do a dash or sprint in GoW you only have a little bit of control when you're trying to make your character turn. on these videos when you sprint (the camera is at a low point of view) you're able to turn your character quite a bit.

2) in GoW if your character isn't hugging the wall he'll ALWAYS been on the bottom left part of the screen but in the Ghostbusters footage the camera switches points of view while the character is out in the open near the end of the video.

now, i dunno what constitutes to being a mod, but i've never heard of a mod that comes with different controls and camera angles. heh...but like i said, i admittedly don't know much about mods.

I guess I'll be the first one to say something negative. I'm hoping for a Ghostbusters game, but that doesn't look like what I'm hoping for. It should be light, and over the top fun, not gritty and "realistic". Plus, why isn't there some kind of squad action going on? They're a team... right?

Eh, it looks like it'd be a fun mod to play for a minute or two, but can you imagine playing a whole game just shooting things with a proton beam? And like Kent said, where's the team action?

The Ghostbusters cartoon actually got more dark than either of the movies, but a decent mixture should be present, like something very creepy taking place and Peter quipping about it. They could be fighting the Grudge ghosts and make it funny.

The movies were pretty dark visually, at least at the end when lots of ghost action was going on. This could pass for what the city looks like in the finale of either film: skies darkened with lightning and thunder, stones buildings blowing up, etc. Or in the second one in the subway, that **** was scary. It doesn't match the comedy character-driven parts of the movies, but you can't really make a game out of that.

The lynchpin, IMO, is the ghosts. If the environment is scary but there are Slimer looking things flying around, cool. If you're fighting Silent Hill demons, then it's gone too dark.

like MUA but with the GBs

Well the chances to get fully faithfull GB game arent very good. So i would be happy with this. I take Ghostbusters anyway i can get it these days. Unless its Extreme Ghostbusters.. bleh.
