oh all right thanks than.
I heard Keyshawn turned down an offer from the Giants and is getting interest from the Pats and Seahawks.
-Cowboys sign former Colts kicker Mike Vanderjagt
-WR Keyshawn Johnson reaches deal with Carolina
-OT Larry Allen signs with 49ers
Colts signed Adam Vinitari from the the Pats.
At this point, since the Skins will face Carolina this season, he will not do anything groundbreaking or "cool"
Earlier today, apparently...
He'll be a decent #2 behind Jackson. But yeah, he's past his prime.
How desperate is Seattle for a receiver?
...desperate enough to offer Nate Burleson 7 years/$49M.
Brilliant move. Give that kind of change to a 3-year guy who's coming off an injury-plagued season and barely cracked 1000 yards in his best season.
edit: And get this, the contract has a provision that guarantees the entire amount if Burleson plays 5 games in Minnesota during any season. Boy, the team who pissed away the Super Bowl is sure upset about losing Steve Hutchinson to the Vikings (there was a similar provision in that contract).
Keyshwawn is the best salesmans alive.
Doesn't really have to do with free agency, but...Miami at Pittsburgh is expected to kick off the NFL season on Thursday Sept. 7
The entire NFL schedule should be released soon.
More games announced:
-Giants vs. Colts (Manning vs. Manning, Week 1)
-Miami @ Detroit, Tampa Bay @ Dallas, Denver @ Kansas City ALL on Thanksgiving.
-Double header MNF: Vikings @ Redskins, Chargers @ Raiders (Week 1)
wow game one for the skins is a Monday nighter...I'm gonna regret it the next day in class
LaVar Arrington visited Miami and Jacksonville this weekend.
Kerry Collins also met with the Dolphins.
I've read that teams aren't exactly giving in to Arrington's demands. He wants Julian Peterson kinda money and I don't think anyone's going to give him especially after he was benched last season. If that's infact the case, I'd look for him to sign with Miami. He's stated that he wants to play for the Phins. That would be a nasty core with Arrington, Thomas, and Crowder. Here's hoping that they get a deal done.
Arrington wants 6M per and guaranteed money. He's a beast, but damn. He's gotta come off that a little. Especially after all the drama with Washington last year.
He probably sees that coup that Terrible Owens pulled off with Dallas and figures why not. He would a much welcomed addition to the Aqua and Orange though.
Wooo. Chargers on Monday Night baby.
Yeah, and speaking of T.O. I forgot to mention that he'll be making his Cowboy debut @ Jacksonville on 9/10. I don't see why the NFL just didn't go ahead and release the entire schedule today at the owner meetings if they were going to release so many dates to begin with.
-Sam Adams reaches agreement with the Bengals
-Bills are reportedly close to dealing WR Eric Moulds to Houston or Philadelphia
The Patriots have about $20 million to spend... what are they waiting for? We better use that damn $20 million to sign some players soon.
There aren't many players out there at this point that would improve the Pats on either side of the ball. The majority of the "marquee" players have already signed on with their teams with the exception of a few guys like Arrington.
There are... but they probably won't be out there for too much longer. Look at the cornerbacks that are still out there... Ty Law, Ahmed Plummer, Charles Woodson, and I think maybe even Nate Clements. We need help at cornerback. The Patriots have been talking with Eric Warfield over the past few days and they might sign him. You also have LaVar Arrington, Nate Burleson and Na'il Diggs all out there... and the Patriots could use help in all of those positions if they do choose to sign any of them. There are also some other players out there... just not as good as the ones mentioned. Also... the draft will take up some money.
-Eric Moulds traded to Houston for a late draft pick in 2006.

Has it been announced yet who will be the broadcasting team on NFL Network?
